I wonder why Jessica was talking about statistics on the day or the day after Ayla disappeared? Did she take time away from "watching her sister fall to pieces" to look them up? Where is Jessica?

My read on Jessica's statements is that she was responding to a print news story that had just come out. In the article an expert type commented that there is only a 1% chance of finding a child alive after it has been missing for more than 24 hours. I think it was a CBS or ABC news article--can't recall exactly now.
ReplyDeleteI recall reading the story at the time. But it was clear that the expert was talking about the chance of recovery in a stranger abduction scenario. Those statistics have no bearing on the parental abduction or acquaintance abduction scenario. Stranger abductions often have a sexual motive, and so the child is killed due to the pathology of pedophile. Also, those statistics apply to abductions of children, not babies. When babies are taken by a stranger it is often a woman who wants to be a mother, rather than pedophile.
But the whole article as I recall never once mentioned a parent/family or acquaintance abduction, so it really does not shed any light on Ayla's situation, where the child was taken by someone who cares about her.
Ayla is likely alive and well, in my opinion.

(Reuters) - Anxiety over two cases of missing children in the news this week - New York's Etan Patz and Arizona's Isabel Mercedes Celis - masks an encouraging development in the search for U.S. boys and girls who disappear: More than 99 percent now return home alive.
The likelihood of finding an abducted child has sharply increased in recent years due to technological advances in the way searches are conducted and a greater awareness that fast action saves lives, said Ernie Allen, president of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
That has boosted the recovery rate for missing children involved in the most dangerous cases in America to 97 percent in 2011 from 62 percent in 1990, according to the center's statistics. That rate is even higher when it includes all missing children, not just the highest-risk cases, which include abductions by a stranger or a family member wanted on a felony arrest warrant, Allen said.
"More than 99 percent of children reported missing in America in recent years have come home alive," Allen told Reuters.
No one likes controversy any less than I do, but I also do not like false statements being perpetrated on readers, either.

"Lastly, keep an eye out for the email dragons2d@gmail.com and the nickname "D.G." as that is Charla in disguise. She has spent the the past hour sending me harassing and threatening emails."
I explained to Jenn in two emails (one on Friday and one early this morning) that the dragons2d@gmail.com is my anonymous email. I use this email when I do not know who I am dealing with or when I want information on the web, but do not want a lot of spam mail. It's my small bit of protection. I assumed that when I explained that the email was from me and not JSTL that Jenn would removed the false statement. I understand that the point of her blog is to discredit JSTL, but I had believed that she did not intend to discredit her with false information.
I also sent a comment on her blog stating the above, she has approved other comments since I made my comment, but so far has not approved my explanation of the email and the fact she is falsely accusing JSTL.
Normally, I would just not worry about it, or not respond, but I do not appreciate the fact that Jenn has ignored my efforts to correct her false assumption. People read that information and believe it and I know it’s not true.
I have absolutely no idea why Jenn considered my emails to be harassment or threatening in any way. I do not send out threatening or harassing emails. That's not who I am. My emails to Jenn were to show her that a person’s IP address cannot be traced via gmail or yahoo mail, since she claimed she was not replying to emails because she was afraid of having her IP traced. I also sent her links that explained that inability.
I hope that JSTL will post this comment so that at least the readers at both blogs will know that the information Jenn posted above is false and she was told it was false.

Apparently not in her maternal families opinion. They have stated right from the start even before "blood evidence" was introduced that Ayla was probably dead. That they were just "looking for closure". A lot of missing children's cases do not get the same exposure that Ayla's case has received. Maybe they were not expecting this? Maybe they would like it to just die down and go away. Closure?

How involved was Jeff with Trista PRIOR to Ayla going missing? Did he support her or you at all? Emotionally OR financially? Did he take the kids so you could have a break? Did he spend ANY time with them or you?
Why is it that Trista could find both a ride and the time to go visit her other baby daddy in jail- but couldn't be bothered to make a trip to WTVL to visit her daughter...well, unless someone else was footing the bill (like, perhaps- JUSTIN. Awful nice of a guy to pay for her to take a bus up to see her daughter, pick her up at the bus station AND drive her to his house)....

I saw trista last night wen i went to visit my childrens father. She is def. not pregnant. She was wearing a tshirt (not baggy) and she most def did not have any type of baby bump. So that theory goes right out the window.
