Well...
I think Whitney Houston was a victim of her own actions, and she lost her life because she could not overcome struggles within herself. Some people say fame is the most dangerous "drug" of all. I really am not sure that black people made her turn against everything she knew to be right---but I can understand how you can see it that way. I mean, she was raised in the church, and came from a family that didn't struggle like many blacks did. There may have been people who thought she was acting too "white," but I hate hearing terms like that. How does one "act black" or "act white"? It seems like a play on stereotypes, and I reject that type of thinking outright.
Now as far as Courtney being compared to Malcolm X...I really don't know enough about her or him to make that comparison. From what little I do know, I would assume that Malcolm X was extremely pro-black, so if Courtney was the same way would she be with a white man? People have brought up the fact that some of Courtney's family members have their own troubles with the law, and we see her sister was trafficking drugs. How deeply was Courtney involved in that? Did Justin get caught up in that lifestyle? Did they meet each other on that scene? Those are all questions I don't have the answers to, but they would provide an interesting angle. Race has probably been off limits for discussion in this case for obvious reasons...it's a distraction for one. If Courtney were proven to be more involved, we may see the racial discussions play out.
If Justin were black, and Courtney were white, would the people of Maine be rioting? Again, I don't know. I am from the south, so I know that people here would probably be outraged. I don't know enough about Maine to say how people would react...it's a northern state, and I always thought the North was a little more accepting or open to interracial relationships and such. Just bringing up Courtney though, I keep wondering if she's the key to all of us. Either she's guilty along with Justin, or she's guilty on her own and the others either do not know it or are covering for her. I want to believe Courtney is the guilty one, because any other scenario would mean that Ayla was killed by people who shared the same bloodline as her. It's just easier to wrap my mind around an "outsider" doing this.
I think we will see that drugs are involved in this case; to what extent remains to be seen. People will say that drug dealers do not want children, they want their money. Shaniya Davis is an example of a child being given to a drug dealer to satisfy a drug debt. I'm sure it happens more than we realize.
I saw a comment that said Justin was in the service, and he has the USMC sticker on his truck. With just those two pieces of information, I would assume that at some point he did serve this country. Marines have killed their children though, an example is here. I know we think of the Marines as an elite group of people, but in reality, there are the bad apples in that bunch too. Whether someone could force Justin to kill Ayla because of a drug debt is questionable. I would let the drug dealers kill me before I sacrificed my child. That's just me though.
Justin also does not strike me as a gang member, but I could be wrong. You're right, if gangs are involved, you will probably never hear a word about it. Where I live, there is not much gang activity, so that's an area of criminality that I am very unfamiliar with.
I hope I answered it all. Feel free to email me (juststopthelies@yahoo)...we'll talk. We'll debate. We can agree or disagree, I'm open to it all!
On a side note, you sound just like my mother in law. That's probably part of the reason why you bugged me LOL She says "yous" and I'm like HUH? She's from Pottstown, PA, if you know where that is.
Take care.
Seeking Truth, you say " I want to believe Courtney is the guilty one, because any other scenario would mean Ayla being killed by people who shared the same bloodline as her."
ReplyDeleteThere are some underlying tones here that don't hold true to other posts. That's okay, my concern is you excluded the scenario that Ayla is unharmed. Did I miss some new evidence? Maybe this is in response to a specific question pertaining to if she was not alive? Can you clarify?
If you listen to dhartania's show, she asked me a series of questions about Courtney specifically. This entire post was in response to her.
DeleteThere is a GREAT chance that Ayla is unharmed---but if she IS, then I hope like hell that Courtney is the guilty one. For the reasons I already stated.
Are you the Derek that I think you are? Just curious.
I am
DeleteOh wow...well, I commend you for acting so civilly on this website and others that I have seen you on. I couldnt sit and be as calm as you while people were tearing one of my friends to shreds.
DeleteI appreciate that. The entire situation has been truly eye opening! There are many things that I will think differently about for the rest of my life; I hope that someday, those who are capable of seeing the bigger picture will understand why. It is a challenge to remain calm but I've learned that you cannot ration with the irrational!
DeleteHey, I can be irrational at times myself, but I know what you mean. :)
DeleteI just don't think the public has enough information at this point to close this case or convict anyone, we should follow law enforcement's lead when they say NOBODY has been cleared.
I think Seek the truth wants to look at everybody, including Courtney. He looked at Trista, maybe will look at her again. At least everybody is being examined. I personally don't believe Ayla was harmed and that someone did something in the house, but that is my opinion. What is interesting and Seek the truth is doing that is that he's looking all directions, which should have been done from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI noticed on another blog called whereisayla, that it was reported on Noon-Time News Ch 6 in Maine that Justin is claiming "he was not, in fact, there the night that Ayla went missing!"
ReplyDeleteOut of state and have no access to this channel. Can anyone confirm or debunk this statement as coming from Justin, or is Ch 6 Noon-Time News going for ratings?
John, this is the first time I have heard that Justin was not there that night. LE has always said he was present that night.
DeleteThank You, I thought it was more of the news trying to get ratings rather than a factual statement. Kinda low if it is a ratings stunt.
DeleteJohn,
Deletewww.wcsh6.com This is typically the news associated with Ch 6 and they do have a Noon-Time News and a facebook page. I am sure if it was said that you could find it in either of those places.
Just because Justin has that sticker does not mean he was in the military. HE NEVER WAS. That was his mom's car, and he bought that from her. And who knows where she bought that car from...Anyone ever hear of a USED car???
ReplyDeleteLike I said, a neighbor of his said she thought he was "still in the service." That led me to believe he was at one point in the service. Maybe someone will clarify, maybe not. Do you know him?
DeletePhoebe's father was in the military, but don't know if it was the marines or not. I have also entertained the thought that Justin was not in the Waterville house the night Ayla went missing. I think he may have only discovered her gone when he returned to the house in the early morning. My thinking is that he is innocent of any crime. I just wish he would come forward and speak to the media. What does he have to lose, since most people think he is guilty anyway. At the least he can clear up the details of the blood evidence.
ReplyDeleteI sure wish I knew what LE found in the shed and why it was taped off as a crime scene.
Sorry Voice, your comment of "innocent of any crime" is way way way off. Even if what you think becomes proven to be true, when he got home in the wee hours of the morning, why didn't he call police, why did he lie to police, why has he silenced himself? All of these may not be vrimes (except lying to the police) but they are CRIMES AGAINST MORALITY! And what of the broken arm, bruising, LI Policy? These incidents could easily be filed as criminal charges for child neglect and abuse at a minimum.
DeleteIn order to file criminal charges, there needs to be probable cause or a reasonable suspicion. Most prosecutors are not even going to act on probable cause if there is not also some type of evidence that could possibly prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
DeleteLaw enforcement has said Ayla's arm was broken in an accidental fall. Taking out life insurance on your child is in no way abuse or neglect.
Maybe I missed something?
No Truth, You didn't miss anything. I was commenting to Voice who feel's Justin is "innocent of any crimes".
DeleteI feel his actions concerning the disaapearance of Ayla have been CRIMES Against Morality at the least! I further feel that all the circumstantial facts, though none directly are proof beyond a reasonable doubt, could be construed by some as child abuse, child neglect, misleading a police investigation, etc.
To be honest with all, I am one that feels Justin will be charged when all is said and done. I don't know what charges, I can't because the facts have yet to be released by MSP. At a minimum however, I feel he has already mislead a police investigation and manipulated evidence in a police investigation. Those I believe will be at least 2 of the charges.
I also should say that if he were more vocal in his desire to find Ayla, it would go a long way into changing the other feelings I have in regards to his CRIMES AGAINST MORALITY that I was speaking of. The actual crimes filed by MSP and Federal Agencies are yet to be known as the total of the investigative facts are NOT known by anyone except the investigators.
Sorry I am writing so much, I am new to these blog things. I wanted to keep the prior post shorter but I also wanted to comment on the broken arm. You are correct Seeking Truth, the MSP did originally state it was an accident. There have been additional postings, comments, stories, etc. saying that the broken are was being looked further into. The Dr. has been said to have doubted the accident initially as well. With the continuing investigation, it would not be the first time MSP has had to retract a previous statement. Again however, this is not going to be known until all the investigative facts are released.
DeleteI can say by personal knowledge about the protocol at Maine Med when a child comes in with an injury that is labeled as a broken arm. I work in radiography in this hospital system and ER. When a child comes in with an injury of this nature, first thing after patient registration and brief check in with a physician is x-rays to find out what is going on. The fact that she was recommended to a specialist for further follow-up, would be an indication that this injury was suspected to be more than an accident.
DeleteI am speaking from the position that I work in this department in this hospital and I am speaking to the protocol of hospital course of action
VoiceOf Reason, Courtney Roberts was in the house with her little boy, she is Justin's girlfriend. Why would Justin leave the house while his girlfriend is in the house visiting him ?
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm chiming in everywhere. It wasn't like she hadn't seen him for a long time; don't forget he was in Portland on the 15th (Thursday). If I had to guess, I'd say he saw her then.
DeleteNobody knows for sure if Courtney was in the house at the time of the disappearance. Also, I did not say that Justin arrived in the 'wee hours' . I meant he arrived just moments before the 911 call. It's just a theory, of which there are many. I'm thinking along the lines of maybe he and Courtney left the house with the children home alone.
DeleteThe broken arm is the only 'injury' we know that Ayla had. LE has already confirmed that they believe it was an accident. So do I. All the other so-called injury reports came from Trista and family. I think they were exaggerated. Even if they weren't, I think they were at the worst a father not being careful or not watching the child well enough. I do not think any of her injuries were from abuse. I just do not have Justin pegged as a child abuser. He has crappy taste in women, though. Way too much spinning on this case without evidence to back it up.
I am thankful to Seeking Truth for providing a place where those of us not ready to hang the DiPietro's can speak without getting bombarded with hate posts from the lynch mob.
Well VoiceofReason, I would agree with you as I did with Seeking Truth. LE did state the broken was deemed an accident. I would also repeat that the investigation is not complete, further information of delayed treatment, doctors doubt, the ball pit lie at Chucky Cheese, etc. has brought investigators back to all possibilities being investigated. It would surprise me if MSP does not change thier stance if all the news stories are correct. Regardless of what other posts or blogs may say, I do believe reporters are supposed to verify news before reporting it. The MSP will finalize thier investigation regardless of what we say here or on any other blog. With that, there will be charges against Justin in the end. What they will be is going to be determined by the evidence collected by LE.
DeleteSorry if I offended you by adding the "wee hours" comment to my previous post. I still however, believe your comment of Justin being "innocent of any crimes" a heinous thing to say considering what has already been released to the public and reported by the news.
If we are to believe that Justin told the truth about the actual date Ayla went missing.
ReplyDeleteThat is the presumption that police are going on...
DeletePerhaps. They are only re-stating what they were told which doesn't necessarily mean they believe him.
DeleteWhere is it reported that Justin left the house? This sounds like another rumor.
ReplyDeleteI originally saw it on a blog called whereisayla. It was said that the Noon-Time news on ch 6 reported the quote from Justin. I felt at the time the news was trying to get ratings (BS on there part). But I have not been able to verify he said it.
DeleteSeeking truth, yes he was moving. My point is that if your girlfriend is visiting you for the week-end, you usually don't spend the night out, and as she has a little boy, my guess is that she stayed in the house. As for disappearing before December 15 there are apparently several people who state they saw Ayla on December 15th and who testified to the police.
ReplyDeleteThere are just so many possibilities as to what really could have happened to Ayla.
ReplyDeleteThe following are only possible scenarios and are by no means put forth as fact or accusations:
1) Trista took Ayla back.
2) Trista had someone else take Ayla back.
3) Someone connected with the Reynolds took Ayla back, but has kept Trista in the dark.
4) Someone who knew of Ayla's difficult family background acted on their own to take Ayla to give her a better life.
5) Justin Linnell took Ayla by mistake in the dark, thinking she was Gabby.
6) Justin Linnell had someone else go into the house for him, and the wrong baby was taken by mistake.
7) Someone else connected with the Linnell's took Ayla by mistake, but has kept Justin Linnell in the dark.
8) Ayla was hidden by Justin and/or the DiPietros with another caretaker, due to the custody dispute, to avoid Trista getting custody.
9) A member of the DiPietro family or someone connected with them took Ayla from Justin feeling that he was not looking after Ayla properly.
10) A sex offender acquainted with the family knew of the baby in the house and took her.
11) Someone connected to the methadone clinic took Ayla or is connected to the person who took Ayla.
12) Ayla was taken in payment for a drug debt or due to anger over a drug debt.
13) Ayla had an accident in the house, passed away and her body was hidden.
14) A woman who could not have children took Ayla to raise as her own.
15) An enemy of one of the DiPietros took Ayla out of revenge.
These are the main scenarios that I have been thinking about.
Who was going to the meth clinic in the family ?
Delete16.. Justin lost his temper and abused Ayla to death..dumped her little body in the woods on the way to Portland.. This I PRAY didn't happen.
DeleteWhat about the scenario where JD or his cohorts did AWAY with poor Ayla? You never mentioned that one, which is most likely what has happened. If she was abducted, where, oh where, are the pleadings from her family? It is terribly quiet these days. Has she been forgotten already?
DeleteI want to scream when I read comments like this about 'pleading'. If someone were evil enough to kidnap, abduct (you fill in the name of choice) a child, what could would 'pleading' do?
DeleteI wouldn't call what Trista does 'pleading'. The only person that comes across to me as sincere and distraught is Trista's dad.
Yes, it has been very quiet. A stand still? Something is about to happen...I sense it! Another big drug bust, perhaps? Another person to speak out? What I am trying to convey, is, one side or another should make an attempt to keep it out open to the public. IF the family believes Ayla was taken, and if it was YOUR KID, what would you be trying to do, at this point? Consider any news media, talk show, asking others(who have had this experience), what ELSE can be done? Someone suggested Texas EquaSearch to Selena. Shouldn't everyone keep looking? Or just forget it already? What do you think?
Deleteevery scenario except the one which everyone knows happened..Justin killed Ayla and Lance and Tudela helped him get rod of her body somewhere betwqeen Waterville and Portland(closer to Portland).. The person who started this thread is directly related to this case..
DeleteAnother scenario to add: Ayla got out of her toddler bed and wandered away. This is just like the 3 year old in Maine who went a half mile in the snow in the middle of a cold night just in the last week or two.
DeleteAnon 5:50 pm,
DeleteLE has stated specifically they know that this did not occur and that she did not wander off on her own
Yes, LE did say that. But after this new incredible incident of the 3 year old in Maine walking a half mile in the snow in the middle of the night, they might want to rethink their position.
DeleteSorry for posting so much. Or should I say commenting, I don't know. A recent medical issue has prevented me from working for 5 weeks know and I have followed this story from the beginning, but being out of state now, I have no access to the resources you all have in the area. I just get what is published on the WWW blogs.
ReplyDeleteBeing originally born and raised in Maine, all the recent drugs, crimes, and financial news coming from there have gotten me concerned for my remaining family still in ME.
John, I am not originally from ME but live in southern maine portland area. As all know, there is crime everywhere but the majority of the reports featured in the news (especially in regard to drugs) do seem to stem from this Waterville area. Really overall we do have one of the lowest crime rates in the country
DeleteMaybe PHOEBE had a Marine sticker on the car because she was living in 29 Palms with a Marine is the father of one or more of Phoebes skumbag children. While in 29 Palms maybe Phoebe smoke enough crystal meth to kill an elephant...Maybe She is a druggie like all of her children. They killed Ayla for drug money.
ReplyDelete16. Trista and Justin are both nuts, been off and on messing around since they met, have a Mickey & Mallory Knox kind of thing, need drug money, plot out creepy Ramsayesque mysterious intruder plot after taking insurance policy out, kill the child and wait for the payoff. Both are liars, child is dead, but they'll back each other up forever because of true love.
ReplyDeleteIt's just not gonna work.
