1. Trista said the stress of being a single mother was causing her to use alcohol more frequently. The source of her stress, as reported by her, was being a mom. Her children. Are we to believe that she never took her frustrations out on the very children that were driving her to drink?
2. Trista was unemployed. How did she afford alcohol? How did she afford alcohol on a daily basis? We know she could afford it, because she was an addict. She was getting alcohol from somewhere. If people bought it for her, then they were enabling her despite the fact that she had two children to care for. Addicts, by definition, have a dependence on alcohol and suffer withdrawals if they do not have it. So either she got her alcohol or she would go through withdrawal. I wonder who took care of the kids when she was experiencing such symptoms.
3. Trista was told to lose the booze, or lose her children. Has anyone ever had to give you an ultimatum to make you do right by your own flesh and blood? Has anyone ever had to tell you not to do something, or else you would lose your children? The children you love and the children who depend on you for EVERYTHING?
4. Trista had to be drunk a majority of the time. Another hallmark of alcoholism is that alcohol is used frequently and a greater amount is consumed once the person develops a tolerance. So what were the kids doing while she was drunk? No matter who you are alcohol will automatically do certain things---such as impair your JUDGMENT. Was Trista being a Mary Poppins-type mother when she was drunk? Who took care of her kids when she was hungover, or did she just wake up and continue drinking? If you have a hangover, you're not going to just pop out of bed the minute your kids want you to.
5. Trista had to have some involvement with either the police or DHHS before that date in October. Why would one drunken fight cause an ultimatum like that to be given. It seems more like someone had warned her numerous times to get her shit together. Furthermore, it is likely that the police saw signs of NEGLECT or ABUSE when they arrived at the scene of the fight between Trista and Jessica. Why else would the police, mandated reporters, contact DHHS? Trista was under the influence at the time of this fight, she admits as much herself. Again, who was caring for her children while she was drunkenly assaulting someone else. Were the kids there witnessing this? Were they scared?
Don't act as though Ayla could not have been miserable while living with her substance abusing mother. She may have learned to adapt to that situation, but it is NOT a healthy environment for a child. If Trista really did live in a motel, then it goes without saying that that's not an ideal situation either. What space would a child have in that living arrangement? By nature, those floors and beds are filthy as well.
ALCOHOL ABUSE
- Recurrent use of alcohol resulting in a failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school, or home (e.g., repeated absences or poor work performance related to alcohol use; alcohol-related absences, suspensions, or expulsions from school; neglect of children or household) Trista was not working, not in school, and had no home. What does that leave?
- Recurrent alcohol use in situations in which it is physically hazardous (e.g., driving an automobile or operating a machine when impaired by alcohol use)
- Recurrent alcohol-related legal problems (e.g., arrests for alcohol-related disorderly conduct) Police were called because of the fight; disorderly/dangerous/criminal conduct.
- Continued alcohol use despite having persistent or recurrent social or interpersonal problems caused or exacerbated by the effects of alcohol (e.g., arguments with spouse about consequences of intoxication).
ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE
- Need for markedly increased amounts of alcohol to achieve intoxication or desired effect; or markedly diminished effect with continued use of the same amount of alcohol
- The characteristic withdrawal syndrome for alcohol; or drinking (or using a closely related substance) to relieve or avoid withdrawal symptoms
- Drinking in larger amounts or over a longer period than intended.
- Persistent desire or one or more unsuccessful efforts to cut down or control drinking
- Important social, occupational, or recreational activities given up or reduced because of drinking
- A great deal of time spent in activities necessary to obtain, to use, or to recover from the effects of drinking
- Continued drinking despite knowledge of having a persistent or recurrent physical or psychological problem that is likely to be caused or exacerbated by drinking.

Trista was living with her family when the fight happened. DHHS/CPS was aware of her sister, having dealt with her before. Her sister probably reported her. Not a good situation to be in. Trista had to make a choice-ETOH or her kids. no excuses for her. At least she picked detox, and her kids meant more to her than the ETOH abuse. I have wondered a hundred times where people who are unemployed get money for their abused substances. Both parents had some issues. I am more concerned about the things that have been said after this whole thing happened, as to what kind of parents they were to Ayla. BOTH parents. Substance abuse and kids don't mix. Period.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nuts and bolts. I don't have any idea how the 'system' works.
DeleteI read that Trista 'attacked' her sister Jessica and Jessica called the Police.
The Police then called HPPS who (according to Trista) gave her the 'lose the booze or the kids' ultimatim.
But I was wondering if her DETOX could have been in lieu of doing jail time?
I don't understand how CPS found out, other than they were 'alerted' by the Police man.
Could that mean that criminal charges were pending if she refused immediate DETOX?
Maybe it wasn't 'lose the booze or the kids' maybe it was 'lose the booze or the kids and go to jail!'
Is there a Police Log posted for the night of her 'incident' in the Sun Journal?
Clock still isn't working right! Not on the comments anyway. this is posted at 11:15-from Tx.
ReplyDeletesT, you are EXACTLY like the other blogger that you lately love to bash...you just have the opposite viewpoint. Your blog has eveb taken on the same structure as hers. How about instead of engaging in thia constant pissing match with her, you try to actually do something positive for baby Ayla? Or at least come up with your own blog ideas...instead of just counter-pointing every single thing that she writes. Its really grown tiresome and annoying.
ReplyDeleteI'm also rolling my eyes, because you CANNOT address the counterpoints. Like your Father Peeter says, don't shoot the messenger. Respond to the content, or shut it. :)
DeleteYour "counterpoints" are so lame and one sided, its not even worth it, sT. Plus, you've made it abundantly clear that you are not interested in hearing anyone's opinion, but your own. You are so see-through, you're transparent. See Support below for the counter to your "point" if you're really that interested...but i know youre not.
DeleteAnd btw, i dont even know who Peeter is so how about YOU shut it rather than making stupid assumptions about people you dont even know. How old are you? 12?

Should Trista have had a dependency? The simple answer is no. The answer you seem to not want to investigate is, she probably didn't have a choice - alcoholism is a disease. Would you fault someone for having ANY other disease besides alcoholism?? I think not. Not all of those "statistics or facts" you have listed up there, are the same for everyone. There are MANY alcoholics who can FULLY function while drinking. Does that make it ok? No. But you shouldn't look at any topic only from one view, unless you are only trying to prove YOUR opinion. It is up to others to do research and not just believe one persons view, opinion OR research.
ReplyDeleteAlcohol abuse and alcoholism cut across gender, race, and nationality. In the United States, 17.6 million people--about l in every 12 adults--abuse alcohol or are alcohol dependent.
How long do you think it takes the average alcoholic to even ADMIT they have a problem? How long do you think it takes them to admit they need help? How long do you think it takes them to GET the help they need?
Trista is VERY young to have done ALL of these things. Why someone would want to FAULT her for thst is beyond me. Are you jealous because your father did not bother to do the same for you? You recieved kind words when you came out with the story of your father and admitted that Trista was robbed of the opportunity to "prove herself" to Ayla. That was and still is the truth, whether you want to admit it again or not.
Some people are capable of having an occassional drink, and some are NOT capable. Alcoholism is a disease. It is a brain disease. It takes a LOT for someone to admit they have this problem. Why are you not willing to give credit where credit is do? Trista did the right thing for her kids! Plain and simple. 1 in 12 adults in the US is quite a large number. She is obviously not alone. If you think alcoholism automatically equates to child abuse, I'm sorry but you are dead wrong.
Trista will have a LIFE LONG battle with alcoholism. I asked you once before, now I ask you AGAIN, why not have faith and hope IN her and not AGAINST her? I have faith in her because it is the right thing to do, to show support for someone WILLING to make a better life for their children.
I hope when Trista reads your nasty thoughts she is aware that you have not learned how to deal with your own personal substance abuse issues, brought on by your father. I hope you will be able to get the help you need. There are programs not only for substance abusers, but their children and family members as well.
I hope Trista gains strength in other peoples ignorance.
At least she has tried to help herself. She chose her kids, not the alcohol. She is young, has courage to do that. Alot of older alcoholics won't even do it.
DeleteIt was not just alcohol. And we will see if she has chosen her kids. That is yet to be determined.
DeleteI will never understand why people keep slinging the "J" word. You would have to be out of your mind to be jealous of Trista.
DeleteYes, my father still has his issues. Because of his issues, I was an at-risk child with very limited opportunities. As I sit here today though, I have gone further in life than most people my age. I have the finer things in life---and not it's not about being materialistic, it's about getting stuff done for myself in the absence of a positive example and parental support. I did everything on my own.
My children are well taken care of. Everything that I lacked, they have. Again, not just material stuff. They have the type of supportive and loving environment that children NEED. They are NOT MISSING. Do you think anyone would desire to be in her shoes? I'll choose my house over a hotel, my car over no car, not being an alcoholic over getting in drunken brawls with my own sister. So on and so forth...
You can say "alcoholism" is a disease, but then YOU are the one trying to make people believe your opinion. There are many different schools of thought about addiction, the medical model (disease) is one of the most widely accepted, but there are other models as well. Perhaps you should enlighten yourself.
Blaming Trista's actions on a disease lets her further escape responsibility and blame others or other things for her piss-poor performance as a mother.
If you can't or don't want to show support for someone who has taken the correct steps in making a better life for their kids, then I feel sorry for you. You are clearly bitter and have not had the opportunity to heal and learn how to cope with your childhood.
DeleteI am more enlightened on the subject at hand than you may think. Trista's actions are not being blamed on anyone or anything else. Whatever mistakes she has made, she has to own up to and accept. *I* do not automatically assume someone is a bad person (evev though I probably should) because they suffer from alcoholism. The disease takes a toll on EVERYONE close to the alcoholic. It is up to the alcoholic to accept themselves and the disease and seek treatment. This is what Trista did for her kids. It appears that she was then kicked when she was down.
Are you stating that Ayla is missing because Trista is an alcoholic and SOUGHT treatment? If there was no custody agreement, this tragedy could have happened ANYTIME. If anyone is a piss-poor parent in this situation, I think you are looking at the wrong parent - thats my opinion, as you have yours. WHEN Justin's skeletons come out, I think you will see the light.
I am asking you for the THIRD time now:
Why not have faith and hope IN her and not AGAINST her? Why do you WANT her to not succeed? Is that what you want? It appears that way. Does it make you feel better in some way to lash out at substance abusers, EVEN if they have sought treatment?
Bombshell, nobody knows too much about the father because thats the way he wants it. I can't see that remaining that way forever though. What do we ALL know about him right now? He is a liar, his mother is a liar. He admitting to a fake "kidnapper" that he is a bad father. He admitted, at the same time that Trista did not take Ayla. He never has a kind, loving word to say about Ayla. He never has anything to say except that he has nothing to say.
I WISH I had something nice to say about Ayla's father. I have yet to see or hear anything, especially from HIM. If I could learn or see something I would admit it. Trista has, numerous occassions spoken kind, loving words to and for Ayla. If you want to continue to bash the mother of a missing baby because she SOUGHT treatment BEFORE her baby went missing from her fathers house, then go right ahead. You'll have to answer for it someday.
She did not seek treatment on her own. She was forced.
DeleteNow tell me this, how successful is treatment when it is forced upon a person?
Think, rock bottom...addicts have to want help and want to change their lives. She could complete the rehab so she doesn't lose her children. That doesn't mean that she is or intends to remain sober.
Research shows that that mentally ill are forced to get help, they are actually receptive to treatment. I'm not aware of the same finding for addicts. Care to enlighten me?
*that when the mentally ill
Deletewow I totally messed that up! LOL
NOBODY CAN BE FORCED INTO TREATMENT. That's all the enlightening you should need. How many parents do you think say EFF-U, I don't have a problem? There are PLENTY who do not care if they lose their kids.
DeleteCan you answer my question I've asked you repeatedly, or you just have no desire to?
That's a damn lie and you know it. Giving someone an ultimatum is tantamount to forcing them. TRISTA, ON HER OWN, did not say I need to go to rehab for the sake of my children, did she? NO. Just be honest with yourself, you know that is not what happened. People who are court-ordered are they not "forced"? You're not thinking before you type. Slow down.
Deletewhat's your question?
Trista was not court ordered to rehab. How do you, or me know what was in her head. Possibly when told it was the booze or her kids, her eyes were opened wide. Possibly! She went, willingly. She did no appear to deny she had/has a problem. She went the very next day. Do you think it was easy to admit to alcoholism and admit you need help, over night? She CHOSE to go. She CHOSE for her children. She did not deny, as many do. I guess I'm seeing the total opposite of what you are seeing. There are many people who WISH their parents would, or would have in the past done ANY of the things she did and admitted.
DeleteMy question:
Why not have faith and hope IN her and not AGAINST her? Why do you WANT her to not succeed? Is that what you want? It appears that way.
@ support
DeleteI can respect alcoholism is a disease. So is aids, or cancer, or herpes. What do most people do when they have a disease? They get treatment. Don't give me the cock'n'bull story that Trista did everything she could. She put her children in bad situations time and time again because she 'LIKED' her disease. Unless called on it she was never going to do anything about her drinking-she was optionless-lose kids=lose money. And do you want to comment about her drug problems? I guess we should be lenient on her for that too. Maybe she was having such a hard time and just needed to 'chill', right?
Why not want her to succeed? really, its not about that. She has not shown the public any need for us to be on a particular side. an alcoholic and drug addict craves their drug. The problem with that is that most in that position start off drinking and using soft drugs and then at some point hit the hard stuff. 10 days in rehab does NOT cure an addict. One addiction is hard enough but when you have multiple habits then you have an extreme situation that could take years to get control of. If Trista does one day get Ayla back, then those years that it takes for her to learn self-control would have had a terrible effect on her children. That's the reality of the situation based on what we know about Trista.
If Ayla hadn't disappeared you would be saying the exact same thing; Trista is an out of control mom that sponges off of tax-payers hard earned money. She happens to be the subject of a sad and difficult situation. Its Ayla's needs that should be considered or had you forgot?
I can see why you chose your name. Too bad lucifer has such a tight grip on you.
Deletehaha funny one...never heard that before.
DeleteI guess you could then say that lucifer had a hold on trista as well, considering her internal battles. I don't share any of her vices, have a job, pay for people like her to raise her children and live her vagabond life. Guess lucifer has an even tighter grip on her than he does me.
Why is Trista reading this blog?
ReplyDeleteHow does she pay for the internet anyway?
What is Trista doing now to battle her addictions?
Is she going to nightly meetings?
Is she following a 12 step program?
The nasty person is Trista. She has boozed and drugged her way through 2 pregnancies in 2 years and it looks like she might be pregnant again.
I hope Trista gains the strength to walk down to McDonald's and fill out a job application.

BOMBSHELL-you have me confused with someone else you don't like, sorry! The crap about the monopoly came just got pulled out of my ass for lack of better form of entertainment for poor little Justin. Delete"shutty?" oh my gosh.
Well, suppose I ask you the same thing? How old are you? It is not my fault if you have some very loud mouthed bloggers, that are LOVING blasting Trista, now, is it? This seems to be more of a gossip blog about Trista to me. Alot of jealous women out there, after the big catch, I guess. Sorry, I must be on the wrong blog again...heheehee. Oh, and may the best woman win. Notice I see no reason to use the word "lady" here?

DeleteThan you for the compliment.
DeleteHow do we know that the bruises and pulled muscles were caused by Justin? Maybe, just maybe, the photos of bruises and doctor visits were from Trista's family building a case against HER. Someone had to call the police on Trista during the drunken fight. Who is the most likely to have made the call? Also, who was it that had an attorney during the family team meeting? Who refused to surrender Ayla to Justin? Who has completely dropped out out of the media? Who of Trista's family have we not heard one word about with regard to polygraphs?

This article/video really spotlights how weird this situation is.
Check out the comments, there were some locals commenting before the lynchers drove them off by opposing every single comment pointing out how insane Trista is.
Oh,she's definitely bat shit crazy. I wonder why people never stop to ask if Justin may have had good reasons for not letting Trista talk to Ayla after Dec. 8th. Who knows was kind of crazy shit she was saying. Remember that Trista herself said that justin was critical of everything she said and did.
DeletePrecisely stop and think!
DeleteThat is why Trista won't publish her text messages to back up all her ridiculous stories.
She is so trashy and nutso, she can't!
She didn't care about getting Ayla back. She could have picked up Ayla (according to her) on October 22nd. She only wanted the child support and that's what the text messages will show (among other things).
Right-and lets not forget that Trista herself said that justin was going to file against her(anyone want to speculate why?), and that's why she went to file.
DeleteThank you for posting this statement about alcoholism. Some children see a parental example of drinking and follow suit, Hmmmm. She should not blame her drinking on her children, she put herself and the children in the situation,it was her choice . If she is Pregnant again , maybe this is why she went off her meds ? She must have a lot of fears with RF in Jail, Are you scared of RF, TR ? Maybe you want to run and hide with your children ! Just wondering !
ReplyDeleteGood point! I never thought of that moonlight!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know who is baby daddy #3?
Do we know for sure that she's pregnant? I noticed she has a "pouch" and it's been said that pregnancy would interfere with a polygraph. Even if it's just a rumor, we'll certainly find out soon enough!
DeleteShe has gained an awful lot of weight in a short amount of time. Most 'distraught' mothers lose a LOT of weight rapidly.
ReplyDeleteI suppose getting 'off the stuff' could fatten one up and I also suspect she is drugged to the hilt on some sort of tranquilizers/mood steadiers. On one today show appearance, she has the Delta Burke moon face. Lithium type drugs can poof people up I think.
I think she looks pregnant.
I'm not the only one.
If you google Trista Reynolds before you can put the p in the search bar 'pregnant' pops up with several blogs speculating...
You're right about distraught mothers losing weight fast. Anyone under extreme stress tends to lose weight-not always, but it happens a lot. Justin sure appears to be thinner. I know there is lots of speculation about Trista's pregnancy. I'm not doubting that it's possible or even likely, but I was just wondering if we had an account from a "source." But you raise a very good question. Is/was Trista seeing someone?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteOnly you don't know that Trista has quit, do you?
DeleteYou also don't know that she was only using alcohol...Pictures have surfaced of her using other drugs, and they have been forwarded to the authorities.
Her sister told the press that Trista went to DETOX for "mainly alcohol".
Delete"Mainly"...means PLUS there was something else. It is a comparison which implies MORE THAN ONE.
But we don't need to explain SA to you do we? :D
Trista is wasted in tv interviews. Everyone has noticed it. She is far from 'clean'.
There are loads of photos of Trista partying online.
Why can't we examine Trista's drug use Anon? Drugs are at the vortex of this case.
Trista's 'attack' on her sister Jessica is DAY 1.
Just ask Ayla. :(
AMEN! Drugs and kids do not mix. Trista was the same kind of druggie she would have you believe Justin is.
DeleteMainly alcohol? Wow, I missed that!
"This isn't about Trista"
Delete......................
Anon, you might not know that the Police have stated that NO ONE is ruled out as a suspect, INCLUDING Trista. They made a special point of saying that.
The 'twilight zone' feeling everyone is getting from the Police and Parents in this case could be them reading a script while negotiating ransom for all we know.
I don't think the Police have ruled out the possibility of a parental abduction (also in spite of the cyberbullies spin).
It seems as though a reporter just double checked with the Police for an update last week and was informed that nothing has changed since the last official Police statement.
That would have been the PERFECT opportunity for the Police to say, "Oh nothing new to report yet, but we HAVE cleared the mother", especially since the vigilantes have been pushing with all their might for LE to clear her for months!
Given the volatility of this situation, I think the Police should come out and clear Trista if they are certain she is not involved, just for her safety's sake.
It is extremely intriguing that the police have NOT cleared Trista despite her practically begging them to do so in her 'media attention' news video.
http://www.wmtw.com/r-video/30614155/detail.html
Boy, some people have to 'silence' every conversation we attempt, don't they? How strange! It makes you wonder what are their motives?
