Interesting reading on law enforcement in another high profile case, that of Susan Smith. I don't know how MSP is handling Ayla's case, but I do think the media is being used in a way that is contrary to what most people believe. I see MSP going hard at the DiPietros and Courtney, but I think this may be an attempt to divert attention away from the real perps. Doing so may give the perps a false sense of security...John Nale's speech, when he announced the end of the reward, has always stuck out to me. I DO NOT think he was talking to Justin. I think he was speaking clearly, and directly, to Trista and her crew. Anyway, the full Susan Smith story is here. I have only copied the parts that I found curious.
Experts had made a tremendous error when they told the divers to
assume that anyone trying to hide a car would drive it into the water at
a high rate of speed. None of the experts considered that a driver
might simply let a car roll from the edge of the banks into the water.
It is easy to envision that a car driven into a body of water at a high
speed would go further than a car driven slowly, in reality, the
opposite occurs. The faster that a car hits the water, the more waves it
creates which stops the forward momentum of the car. A car driven at a
high rate of speed into water simply drops and sinks at the edge of the
body of water. Because the Mazda had been rolled into the lake at a slow
speed, it had drifted out much further from the edge of the water,
nearly 100 feet. Drivers searched the edge of the water, while the Mazda
remained submerged. (Kidnapping ruled out in error?)
From the start of the case, investigators carried out meticulously
planned interrogations of Susan Smith that were designed to gradually
break down her defenses so that she would confess. The investigators
behavior and movements were carefully scripted and choreographed. There
were no ad libbed or casual questions to Susan.
Investigators learned that Susan was not just a brokenhearted
mother but a strong willed woman and that they would have a difficult
time getting her to confess. (Is this the same for Trista?)
Investigators met several times each day during the nine days that
the Smith children were missing to plot strategy and consider their
next move in interrogating Susan.
One of the investigators tactics was to build up the media frenzy
directed at David and Susan Smith. One example of the way the
investigators shaped the news was at the press conference held by
Sheriff Wells on Tuesday, November 1, exactly one week after Susan made
her claims about being carjacked. Wells met in the parking lot of the
Union County courthouse with a dozen reporters. Wells words were
carefully scripted and impeccably planned. There was no question to whom
Wells statement was directed to: Susan Smith. Wells said, "I dont know
that were any closer to finding the car." "I have nothing encouraging."
"Were following old information that weve just not gotten to. "I dont
think its developed into anything as of yet to be any more excited about
than yesterday." (Media frenzy, sound familiar?)
The investigators contacted the producers of Americas Most Wanted
and had them tape a segment on the disappearance of the Smith brothers.
The investigators hoped that the additional media coverage would bring
pressure on Susan and would push her to confess. The investigators
contacted a group of Unions most influential ministers to arrange for
them to hold a press conference to appeal to the carjacker. Agent
Caldwells most elaborate scheme involved the creation of an authentic
appearing newspaper on desktop publishing software that contained an
article about a young mother who had killed her children, then served a
short prison sentence and upon her release from prison, married a
wealthy physician. A photograph of a policewoman Susan did not know
would be used. Caldwells intention was to convince Susan to confess with
the expectation that she might lead a different life with a wealthy
man. (The fact that LE planned to use such deceptive tactics is intriguing)
The Americas Most Wanted segment never
aired, the newspaper was never created and the ministers gathered in
front of the cameras in front of the Union County courthouse, not to
appeal to the carjacker, but to ask for understanding.
Interesting...not much time to blog right now, but hey...
Interesting,
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm sure that there are all kinds of tactics at play in Ayla's case.
The anoncement that Ayla most likely will not be found alive, was not for the public. That I'm positive of.
I strongly agree, S.

I've had similar thoughts, Obscure.
One thing I find curious...the DiPietros are not reacting to the hurtful and vicious gossip circulating that they are "baby killers". They did at first, but have backed way off from the ugly accusations. At face value, this could be perceived as a sign of guilt. But I think it more likely to be a clever strategy orchestrated by LE with the DiPietros cooperation.
Lance, with his hair-trigger temper, wasn't up to the challenge of biting his tongue, so he simply removed himself from the epicenter and relocated. Can't say I blame him.
If there is any truth to Justin working several jobs, that tells me that there are several employers willing to hire Justin. It also tells me that Justin is not a meth-addict, crack head, or pill popper as suggested on another blog. Junkies don't generally exhibit a strong work ethic.
As for John Nale...I don't know who he was addressing at the press conference, but I doubt that his words were directed soley to Trista and crew. Nale was clearly angry and frustrated that the reward did not lead to Ayla. I think he was just spouting off his disgusted feelings to a general audience. Just my take.
Thanks for revisiting the Susan Smith case. Interesting (and brilliant) how LE played that one out.
I agree about a clever strategy. From the Kennebec Journal:
Delete***DiPietro said he understands why attention has sometimes focused on him, and added that he can handle the speculation.
“If I have to be the brunt of those attacks, then so be it. If that’s helping bring Ayla home, then sign me up,” he said.***
Maybe that's exactly what he did...signed up to be the focus in order to help LE bring Ayla home.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nope

Jeremy R Hanson, 20 of Clinton, was sentenced to a 180-day jail sentence, all suspended, a one-year administrative release, 50 hour community service and $627 restitution, Hanson was required to pay $250 in restitution immediately.
So Jeremy gets $877 in fines and restitution, 180 days suspended, 50 hours of community service and a year of probation for assaulting two windows.

http://bangordailynews.com/2012/02/14/news/mid-maine/teenager-cited-for-smashing-windows-at-ayla-reynolds-home/
**********
Both articles include Hanson's previous criminal record. The BDN article includes quotes from WPD not included in Ben's article which partially highlight, for those not able to connect the dots themselves, the severity of the crime.
" “The force not only broke the window, it broke the screen. It broke a blind behind the window and it sent glass flying throughout the kitchen area onto the floor, onto the counter and onto a highchair that belonged to the grandchild,” Massey said. Massey described the crime as “cowardly” during the press conference. “Breaking the windows with that much force and sending glass flying all over the place, waking up people at that hour of the night, waking a small child, exposing them to the cold and possible injury. I think that’s kind of cowardly,” he said."
I find it not only cowardly, but reckless and irresponsible. He's lucky to only be charged with criminal mischief and not terrorizing. This was not a vacant building, 2 women and a toddler were in the house. I'm sick of the minimization and justification granted to this crime. JohnP who was so concerned about Gabby a few weeks ago writes it off as "assaulting two windows." People should know better.
Not to mention John suggests Lane got a free pass basically because in his opinion Lance talked and gave the LE evidence about Justin. he does not take in to account the Jeremy was already on probation. If you are on probation for whatever offense of course you are going to get a tougher sentence. I'm surprised he was only given community service, restitution, and a fine. IMO he should have served time. He endangered a child by breaking windows in the middle of winter with a child in the house. What if Gabby had been up at that time and was in the kitchen with Elisha for a drink. What if she was showered with glass not to mention the pure terror of having the windows smashed in the middle of the night. How would he feel if it was his son Jayden that had his windows busted out in the middle of the night. I am amazed at the support for Jeremy who has a criminal record and the public condemnation on Justin who does not. SMH
DeleteLooking - I agree. Definitely, the people who are condoning this would feel much differently if it was their child or grandchild inside. A misdemeanor of criminal mischief is BS. His reason and intent were clear. I can only imagine how terrified they must have been, not only for what was happening but what might happen next. There is a huge difference between that and Lance and Linnell having a fact to face argument that turned physical on a main street in broad daylight.
DeleteThe information about the "vandalism" case was given by Massey at a press conference. I find it notable that McCanna neglected to include the specifics quoted above in the BDN.
Nancy Grace show - the question to Trista about her whereabouts is around the 27 minute mark
Deletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4-4TJBgacM&feature=relmfu
I watched a few of the Nancy Grace shows again today when looking for specific comments. During one of the episodes there was a snippet of a live interview with Justin from a local station. I didn't save the link/time of that part as I was going to look for the whole interview. Unfortunately, all I could find of the interview from that station was a short segment of a different part. Anyway, in the part I saw on Nancy Grace, it seems clear to me that Justin is full of love for Ayla. He speaks of her in present tense and talks about her being amazing, and her dancing, etc. He does not seem to be speaking from guilty knowledge, but from a father's love for his daughter.
DeleteIt is always interesting to me that Justin and his family in their interviews speak of Ayla in present tense and Trista and hers even from the very beginning before they were told of blood evidence talked about her in past tense.
DeleteThe Susan Smith Saga and the disappearance of Ayla Bell Reynolds bear no similaries. However, IMO, I do see similaries with Susan Smith and D'Andre Lane 'stories'. D'Andre Lane claimed to be carjacked while his child, Bianca Jones, was riding with him to pick up items from the mother's house when "two black men" flagged him down to tell him about a defetive brake light. And, pulled a gun on him and took the car with Bianca secured in the carseat. He is currently on trial for her murder. The Smith children was last known to be with the mother and she claimed, a black male CARJACKED HER and took the children, whereas, Ayla disappeared from the father's residence, with no known witness(s) of how she was taken ( according to the three in the house). Also, duly noted, LE says no abduction took place, a substantial amount of Ayla's blood was spilled in her father's basement, and the three in the house that night/morning are not telling all they know. These are the reasons Justin, Elisha and Courtney are casting suspicion upon themselves. With that being said, my question(s) at the moment focuses on Courtney and what she observed the night Ayla disappeared. Did Courtney physically see Ayla that unfaithful night ? ( if not) Did she allege Ayla was asleep in bed or did someone verbally inform her she was asleep in bed.
ReplyDelete@Anon
DeleteWhere do you you get your information for a "substantial" amount of Ayla's blood was spilled in fathers basement. Please show me a link to article. I have never seen LE state that.
All I have ever seen LE state is that "some" of the blood found in the house was Ayla's. That could mean any amount. Even a few drops. We have no idea really. And any other spots they may have found could belong to someone else right? We do not know. Because LE has not told us either way.
Anon 9/24 3;30pm. said,

How much is substantial, and where did you find LE stating this?
All I have ever read LE confirming is "some of the blood found belongs to Ayla".
more than a small cut would produce. . . I can tell you every incident where one of my children may have bled more than a small cut would produce (not that it happened very often) why can't we get an explanation from Justin and crew? I can't understand why Ayla was alone in a room that night if he was worried that someone was going to take her. . .. and not knowing if the doors were locked. .. . I think I would be in high protection mode if someone was threatening to take my child. . .these are just a few issues I have with this case.

Delete"I can tell you every incident where one of my children may have bled more than a small cut would produce (not that it happened very often) why can't we get an explanation from Justin and crew?"
First, I'm not sure that LE ever confirmed the "more than a small cut would produce", released by Jeff @ Aylareynolds.com.
I am willing to bet that Justin as well can explain every incident where Ayla has bled, and how much, while she was in his care. I'm also sure that Justin has explained any and all blood of Ayla's to LE. He's simply not required to explain it to the public, and has chose not to.
"I can't understand why Ayla was alone in a room that night if he was worried that someone was going to take her"
I can understand why she was in, what I understand to be, the room she shared with Gabby, and the place she nornmlly slept. I wouldn't expect her to be sleeping in the room her father was that night, since he was entertaining company. In that case, I think Ayla was more suited to be in her own room.
Justin was worried about someone taking Ayla...according to Trista. Text about this subject is also according to Trista. No one has seen them.
Also according to Trista, it was she (Trista) that Justin was worried about taking Ayla.
Given all this, I don't really know for sure just how concerned Justin was that night that someone was going to take Ayla.

Substantial (adj) is defined as considerable, of real value, solid, BIG, important; really existing.
Here's a small tibit of the article.
The amount of Ayla's blood found was SUBSTANTIAL, MSP (Maine State Police) told WGME Wednesday.
Very interesting read. The article explain 'blood spatter' and it also provide charts.

DeleteAs I see it, Justin was worried Trista and/or her family was going to take Ayla, as per the text messages. I don't believe he thought Jessica, or even Trista, was going to come into his home in the middle of the night and steal Ayla. Remember Trista saying Justin would not let her have Ayla for even one day (this was after her 10 day stint in rehab, and then going 2 weeks without even trying to see Ayla). I don't believe Trista was allowed to have Ayla alone in her custody while she was battling an addiction with drugs/alcohol. Maybe Trista decided to get Ayla the "illegal" way after all? JMO

LE has had all blood/stain samples now for 9 months. They did state in the very beginning that "some" of the blood was infact Ayla's. So if they were able to determine that that blood was Ayla's pretty much immediately does it not then stand to reason that 9 months later they have now been able to determine that the rest of the blood is or is not Ayla's?
DeleteSo if LE was able to say to the public that some of the blood was Ayla's early on but at the time some of the blood still needed testing wouldn't it make sense that LE at some point during one of the many news conferences would have said we now know all the blood, or more/most of the samples tested to be Ayla's.
Why would they release one statement about Ayla's blood evidence and amount but not the rest? To me it is most likely that the rest of the samples of stains collected from that house were determined not to be Ayla's.
@ anon 9/25 4;54,
DeleteThanks for taking the time to leave a link. I would have have liked to see if MSP commnet about the blood was a direct quote, (which I have serious doubts about) but the link is not working.
It's my personal opinion that Carol B. Gilbert is not a very reliable sourse for accurate info.
Le determined early on in the case, that some of the blood was Ayla's. It appears from McCausland's statements that it was the first forensic evidence to come back. It seems logical that blood, either seen with the naked eye or luminol, would be tested right away.
DeleteI believe they tested all samples, that could be blood, right away. How can they state "some of the blood was Ayla's", if they haven't tested all of it?
So...if Le asked Justin to come to the police station and then showed him the "luminol pictures", was this deception? They knew all the blood found was not Ayla's, and maybe some of it wasn't even blood.
Did they question Justin over and over? He knew he was telling the truth and finally had enough, and left. He was there on his own free will, cooperating with police to find his daughter, and had every right to walk out. I don't believe he ran out of the police station when shown the "luminol picture".
Next thing to happen is the leak about the blood, so they tell Trista about it (right before the vigil).
Something is fishy, nothing makes sense!

DeleteI had some time this morning, so looked for the article that you linked. Mostly to satisfy my own curiosity.
My feelings were correct, the
"The amount of Ayla's blood found was SUBSTANTIAL, MSP (Maine State Police) told WGME Wednesday".
Here CBG is taking a sentence from an article on WGME.com. If you look at and read that article, this is not a direct quote from MSP, or anyone else. I have no clue where they got the word.."substantial"
Blood splatter?.. CBG got this from a WCVB article, which says,
"The toddler?s blood was found splattered in the basement of 29 Violette Ave."
First, this article is a rewrite from M. McPhee's earlier article where she was called out by S. McCausland, saying information she gave was
“unattributed, irresponsible and inaccurate” .
Second, the sentence above does not have quotation marks, and was said to come from LE sources. She is not quoting someone.
.....As an aside, I thought it was funny that the word toddlers had a ? mark in it. Probably a typo, ..but fitting, I question whether it was the toddler's blood, as well as spatter
I stand by my feelings that Carol B. Gilbert, is not a reliable source for information.
.
I agree S.
DeleteCarol B. Gilbert "journalism" is definitely questionable IMO. She changes the wording of what's been said and uses hearsay, but only that which fits her bias.

During the course of an investigation an investigator often must rely on duplicity and pretense in an effort to develop evidence against the guilty suspect. Common examples include the use of undercover operatives, hidden surveillance video or “baiting” a cash drawer with extra money. Provided these procedures do not entice a person to commit a crime (entrapment), they are generally acceptable practices. However, courts give greater scrutiny to situations when an investigator knowingly lies to a suspect in an effort to obtain evidence. The courts recognized that deception by law enforcement is often required to solve crimes but also prohibits the police from making false statements to a suspect under certain circumstances.
ReplyDeleteShocking the conscience of the court or community
The landmark decision regulating false statements made to a suspect is the U.S. Supreme Court case of Frazier v. Cupp, 394 U.S. 731, 1969. The case involved the interrogation of a homicide suspect who was falsely told that an accomplice had already implicated the suspect in the killing. This lie persuaded the suspect to confess to the homicide. The Supreme Court ruled that such use of trickery and deceit can be permissible (depending on the totality of circumstances) provided that it does not shock the conscience of the court or community.
Furthermore, the court offered examples of police conduct that would shock the conscience of the court or community. Such impermissible conduct includes an investigator lying about his identity and introducing himself as the suspect’s court appointed attorney. Similarly, an investigator who poses as a clergyman in an effort to obtain a confession under that guise would constitute behavior that shocks the conscience of the court or community. Over the last 35 years courts have upheld countless confessions even though the investigator lied to the suspect during an interview or interrogation. In most of these cases the investigator made false statements about being in possession of evidence that implicated the suspect in the crime e.g., eye-witness, fingerprint, DNA, etc.
False assertions vs. manufactured evidence
A Florida case offers further guidance with respect to making false statements to a suspect.2 In the Cayward case police created a fictitious crime lab report which indicated that Cayward’s DNA was found on the victim. After reading the report, Cayward confessed. At trial his confession was suppressed because of the court’s concern that such manufactured evidence may find its way into a court room and undermine the integrity of the evidential system. The significant language from Cayward is that a distinction must be made between, “Making false assertions and manufacturing evidence”. The implication is that Cayward’s confession would have been upheld had the investigator only made the false statement, “We have a crime lab report and your DNA was found on the victim.”

That crime scene was more staged than a Broadway Musical. By the way, thanks for verifying non- verbally, but rather your actions, you are an advocate for the Dips and Courtney Roberts, and not Ayla Reynolds. Again, thanks lies. @Obscure: EVERYTHING. Your entire reason(s) for doing this blog. If I remember correctly: Your mission was to explore ALL avenues. Not to focus solely on one particular side of the family as suspects (ie - bashing the mother, name calling, and snide innuendo, such as, indirect accusations.) Any never question the three in the house that night. Why are these negative comments not directed at the person(s) who's care Ayla was in when she disappeared? I am not talking about other blogs. I know that basically, United For Ayla, are supporters for Trisha. You, however, stated that you do not know anyone connected to this case and didn't have a dog in this fight. DeleteHow is discussing Courtney off limits? Just because people do not have the answers to your questions does not mean discussing her is off limits. The problem is you keep saying she pleaded the fifth. She did not. Courtney answered any and all questions to the people who asked her questions meaning LE. Just because LE feels that someone knows more does not mean that the three people did not answer all questions asked of them and are still not available to answer any and all questions at any time.
Next you yourself keep asking questions of people here about Courtney and expecting answers. And then when you do not get answers you shoot back with well fine then I guess she is off limits because I am not getting answers. What makes you think people here have those answers. Obviously no one does that is why no one is answering you. Duh.
I would say you are the most dimwitted person in the universe but no I think you know exactly what you are doing don't you "Anon".
@KM: First, I want to clarify a bogus statement you made. I DID NOT say Courtney Pled the Fifth. She hasn't been charged with anything, yet. I stated that she may PLAN on pleading the fifth, if she refuses to answer simple questions ie if she physical saw Ayla that night or not. Also, It's not about 'getting answers' it's about no one is willing to at least discuss Courtney's involvement if any. BIG FREAKING DIFFERENT! However, by the same token, you are quick to discuss Trista and she was not one of the three people in the house that night. Why is that ? But, Guess what? Trista and family are still being discussed here. So, Obviously, that is not the issue. The issue is discussing Courtney, pure and simple. So, don't give me that bs. If you can't or refuse to discuss Courtney and her possible involvement, then say so and leave it at that. Name calling is not the answer, because, I almost called you a bitch, but that would be a disgrace to dogs everywhere and I love dogs.
DeleteMoving forward:
The discussion of Courtney IS off limits. Ask yourself this simple question? Are we discussing Courtney or the reasons why we are not discussing Courtney?
next time, kiss
Oh so sorry it was hard to follow your broken grammar.
DeleteAnd I hardly think saying I might have thought you to be dimwitted name calling. I mean after I did say that was not the case. So sensitive.
Anyway you are still missing the point here Anon. People are not unwilling to discuss Courtney they simply do not have answers. And you absolutely have asked questions. And also maybe people just don't know things about Courtney to participate in your conversation like they do the Trista conversations on here. Let's face it Trista herself and Jeff have put ton's of information out there about themselves and then too lot's of other people have added to it. So the fact is people have things that they can add to the Trista conversations much more than the Courtney conversations. It is not our fault we don't know a bunch of gossip about Courtney. So again I have no problem discussing Courtney or anyone if I have something to add. I can't answer for anyone else though.
KM said, " I can't answer for anyone else though. Your answer includes me. :)

I have no problems discussing anyone. I don't claim I know what happened to Ayla - I have about 4 theories vying for attention in my head - one in which Justin knows, one in which Trista knows, and two in which neither of them know. I do very strongly feel that Justin did not "murder" Ayla.
DeleteKM - you're correct, we haven't heard much about Courtney.

Correction, we haven't heard NOTHING from Courtney.

From here on out, I will address you as Heather. The name suits you better. I once had a friend name Heather, she was one of the most deceptive person I had ever met. @Heather: Your ASSumption is correct. "anyway, I said we have not heard much ABOUT Courtney" There's an app for that: Discussion. ie You can start by sparing the things you have seen about her. And, follow up with questions like : What time did Courtney arrive at the Dips residence? Who checked on Ayla at around 10pm that night? Did Courtney physically see Ayla the night she arrived? Who do Justin want given ammunity? I'm searching for the truth. Aren't You? Asking questions may lead to answers.
DeleteAnd there you go again "searching". See you are like a broken record. You just keep asking your same questions over and over here as if we have your answers. WE are not Courtney. WE were not there. Those are not answers that we or others have. Although the 10pm one and who checked on Ayla I believe was answered somewhere you could could prob research that somewhere. I personally don't have time right now to do the research for you.
DeleteAs far as correcting your grammatical errors we just don't have the time to help you out with that here. Maybe you could take a course.
@Heather: You are not Trisha, her mother, Jessica, Jeff, or Tori. Yet you continue to talk about them over and over. You were NOT there, yet you refuse to discuss someone that was actually there, Courtney. Why is that? Remember, she was one of the people in the house that night. Maybe, her child's father BROKE in searching for Aiden, and abducted Ayla. Who knows? Who is he? I see you didn't mind discussing lil Ray's father. And, he is locked the 'fuck up'. Are you searching for the truth, or is your agenda is to bash the Reynolds?
Delete"Maybe you could take a course"
Perhaps that sentence was a misguilded effort to degrade my intellect. Guess what? EPIC FAIL
Although the 10pm one and who checked on Alya(insert common) I believe was answered somewhere you could could (one 'could' will do, thank you very much) prob research that somewhere.
And there you go again "searching". ( 'And' is not needed in this sentence) There is no sentence before that. So... Maybe you should take a course. lol

DeleteWho is Heather? And for that matter who is Trisha?
Any who since Heather does not seem to be answering you I will :)
I personally do not refuse to discuss Courtney. Not sure if Heather does? But as I said before I just don't see how people not knowing the answers to your questions is refusing to discuss something. See how this works. I can keep repeating the same thing over and over again the same as you can...
So discuss Courtney if you want but don't get all pissy when people here can't answer your questions is what I am saying.
Ps I never said writing was my forte. I am sorry that it is not yours. I do not think it is funny ever when some is challenged in anyway.
That should read someone is challenged in any way lol See even I am not perfect. :)
Delete@Heather: Do you have a short attention span? I think it's funny when you tried to correct my grammer, yet your writing skills are average. I noticed you did not speak on the errors I corrected for you. Should not you refer to yourself as challenged, also? You are TRYING to play semanic games. NOT WORKING. LOL Next time, speak on your own short comings. Proof read your own comments before you proof read mine. You will clearly see: YOU ARE THE CHALLENGED ONE!
DeleteI will continue to ask questions pertaining to Courtney and her possible involvement of Ayla's disappearance. I will continue to search for the truth. Why are you here, if not for the truth?
G'Day
Do you have a short attention span? This all started because I pointed out that your broken grammar was hard to follow. I pointed that out because YOU were being defensive and quite hostile per usual. And it was you who had made the mistakes in your writing that made it hard to understand and follow what you were saying. Soooo I was simply pointing out it is not other people's fault if we might find it hard to follow what you write. I was not making fun. Simply trying to help clarify. As far as my writing skills as I said I have never claimed to be anything but average. I will take average. Average people make mistakes. However challenged? Nah. I think my writing is usually understood. And again please keep in mind I am only pointing out your lower level skills because you are the one who is being so hostile.
DeleteAnd you can continue to ask your questions all you want no has said you can't. Listen carefully now. All that has been said is that if we here do not have the answers to your questions then you are not going to get those answers no matter how nasty you are or how bold you type.
As for me yes I am looking for a truth as you put it. I do so by listening to everyone here. I listen to all their thoughts and comments. And if someone asks a question at some point and I happen to remember seeing the answer, having read it,or heard the answer ... I might even jump in and answer the question.
@Heather: YOU are a joke! You will say anything to avoid discussing Courtney. Did you understand that? If not, I will repeat it. You - will - say - anything - to - avoid - discussing - Courtney. Are you not smarter than a fifth grader? If you can not comprehend a simple sentence, then not only are you challenged, you are stupid as well. My grammar is fine, thank you very much and so are my reasoning skills. Courtney has answers to my questions, ergo, I will be addressing them to her. Unless, you speak for her, please refrain from answering questions posed to her. Got it?
Deletebtw: You say my writing skills are lower level skills and then comment on how 'bold' I write. You are a talking contradiction. lol
Heather, I know your attention span is short, so ... I am reminding you: THE QUESTIONS BELOW ARE FOR COURTNEY ROBERTS.
1. Courtney, what are the results of your poly?
2. Why have you not spoken out for Ayla?
3. Did you physically see Ayla the night she disappeared?
4. Do you know who Justin was referring to, in regards to granting someone immunity?
Courtney, please tell LE all that YOU know, and remember the first one to talk, is given the best deal. So...Please, help bring Ayla home to her family.

DeleteYou sure are angry. And good at repeating things I will grant you that. Seems neither Heather nor Courtney are here to answer your questions though. Thus you are not getting the answers to the questions you keep repeating over and over. Do you comprehend that? And obviously I am not answering questions posed to her. Simply because I am not her and do not speak for her. What I am doing is pointing out that your posing the questions over and over on a forum than not getting answers and getting angry because you are not getting answers and in addition accusing people on that forum of not being willing to discuss her is ridiculous. If Courtney is not here to answer your questions and you yourself say you are addressing your questions to her and do not want others to answer, than how do you then think it is okay to say that this blog is not open to discussing Courtney? That is what you have said. And I have simply pointed out time and time again that I believe this blog is open to all discussions but we just may not have the answers to your questions. And when your questions are not answered that is when you start getting nasty and becoming all indignant. You can try and twist this any way you want but what you want is not a discussion but as you yourself just pointed out, you want to question Courtney and Courtney only. And that is up to you. However that requires Courtney to be here. And my thought is that if she is not answering you then she is not here. And don't try to bs people anymore into thinking you want a discussion about Courtney. When all you want are answers from Courtney.
dis·cus·sion/disˈkÉ™SHÉ™n/
Noun:
The action or process of talking about something, typically in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas.
A conversation or debate about a certain topic.
So in a discussion it would seem you discuss information. Not repeatedly ask for information. Not mind you that I think it is a bad thing to ask questions. However I believe that in most discussions people bring information to the table. All you seem to do is ask the same questions over and over. So tell me again how you are discussing Courtney exactly?
Look at that maybe Courtney is here and you have your answers. At least the best answers it seems she can give. Thanks Courtney. Now we can move on. To a discussion :)
DeleteAnd by discussion I mean something of relevance to this case. And if you yourself have information to share or add.
Delete@Heather/KM/fakeCourtney Roberts: I knew it, Your attention span is short! So... Hop along little rabbit, You are dismissed and deleted from my thoughts. I am not interested in continueing a meaningless dialogne with you. " EAT SHIT" direct quote from Justin.
Deletelol
TO: Courtney Roberts - There are certain people that do not give a damn about you and Aiden. They are only interested in saving Justin's arse. You are being used and played as a pawn in a game of chess'. YOU will lose. YOUR son will lose. YOUR family will lose. And, for what? A sperm donor that will not speak out for his 'abducted' daughter. You are smarter than that. You, Aiden, and your family deserve more than that. Most important, the Reynolds family deserve to know the truth. Do the moral and right thing: pick up the phone, and tell LE all that you know. Your burden will feel lighter.

Interesting. Even when Courtney answers you are not satisfied. You do know in many states it is illegal to impersonate other people correct? I hope whoever you think impersonated Courtney supposedly knows this. Or maybe it really was Courtney answering for herself and you just don't like her answers. Seems to me Courtney IS indeed a smart girl and knows exactly how to answer questions for herself.

'midst' not mist
DeleteThere are alot of things in this case that are unfortunatly downplayed and unreported by the MSP. The "blood evidence" which has never been confirmed to be solely Ayla's is the primary thing they latched onto simply because they didn't correctly follow through with anything else and it seemed the best possible explination. Theres a long list of mistakes and unfounded Assumptions made with this case that have unfortunatly resulted in a still missing child.
ReplyDeleteFor example: There are people whom have willingly admitted to being in that house and the nursery the week prior and day before the disappearence. I know they haven't been asked to supply DNA for evidence purposes. How did MSP rule out all possiblilties of an abduction if they didn't even rule out that anyone other than the family had been in that room???????
Does anyone else see a problem with this?
Definitely.
DeleteIf people can visit without leaving a trace that they've been there, then obviously someone can walk in and walk out without leaving a trace.
I don't see anything that is the same in the Susan Smith case and the Ayla Reynolds case unless you start looking at the most likely suspect. . .(Justin) After all, he is the one that is crying kidnapping. . . can you explain your reasoning?
ReplyDeleteI think it's clear that I am exploring LE strategies. Comprehension is an essential part of reading.
DeleteYour snide remarks suck. . just saying. Just because you read an atricle about another LE in another state and their strategies the next thing you know you all like "Oh IMO I think that LE is doing that here and they really think Trista is the one. . . blah blah blah I think maybe you should go back and read those texts that went back and forth between Justin and Trista. . . of course Justin's were probably written by Courtney. . .anyway, you should go and review them. . .
DeleteAnon do you happen to mean the partial text messages revealed at your fav hypocritical blog U4A after they bitched about this blog releasing partial info? Just sayin'
DeleteIm saying I don't really care about the drama that goes on on these blogs between the owners. . .all I know is that I read the texts again and I felt that Justin was a heartless asshole. . .and before all the blood information was out there and before she heard from someone that they say Justin throw Ayla. . . Trisa was being nice to Justin. . .
DeleteI totally felt that John Nale was speaking to Justin and the others that were in that house that night.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't make any sense to me that Trista would be involved. . . . she would not be able to see Ayla once she was hidden so why would she do it???? In what I have read it seems to me that she wanted Justin in Ayla's life and she wanted Justin to be in hers. . .so why would she take the one thing they have in common out of the picture?
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think Trista wanted Justin in Ayla's life. Didn't she tell a doctor Justin was abusing Ayla? Didn't she say she wanted DHHS to check Justin out? Why would she want Justin involved with Ayla when she was keeping notes and making a case against Justin, before Ayla even disappeared? Doesn't make any sense to me!
Deletesigned:getrealpeople
Im not saying Trista didn't have her issues, she seems to have come from a broken home, probaby had lots of insecurities and it sounds to me like she truly wanted to be a family with Justin and Ayla. . .lots of abused woman stay with the abuser because they know no better. I think that once she felt that maybe Justin actually was involved in hurting Ayla then she started getting angry and wanting answers. . . JMO
DeleteIt doesn't make any sense to me that Trista would be involved.
Delete___________________________________________________________
IMO If it was Trista who took Ayla it makes sense to me that per the text messages Justin would know it was her. She may have expected Justin to call her immediately upon noticing Ayla was missing. If he called her first this may have never become known to the public. I think when Justin called LE first it threw a wrench in Trista's plans and she had to hide Ayla. That is the reason no one could get a hold of her right away. It may not have been her plan to not be able to see Ayla but she obviously could not come forward once Justin called LE with out there being the chance she could then lose custody of Ayla all together for pulling that kind of stunt.
Looking At The Facts 9/26/12 4:51 PM
DeleteI agree.
The whole story of no one being able to get hold of her, and her fiance's father having to wake her up, just cast more suspicion on her IMO.
If she is involved, I think she "freaked out" upon hearing the police were called, and panicked. The longer it went on she stood to lose more than just custody of Ayla.

DeleteI also agree with your statement. The thing that stood out for me months after Ayla had been missing is The Dipietro's turned over their home, their cars, their cell phone transcripts and gave DNA samples immediately. LE told them initially not to talk to the press, Justin waited and then released a statement through LE so they could read it over first to make sure no investigation details were revealed in it. They totally cooperated with LE. Trista on the other hand was on TV calling Justin an abuser, her close friends were on Facebook pointing toward Justin with in the first 2 days. Trista's family who were not there for her when she needed help were now on TV and in the spotlight pointing fingers toward Justin. Trista's best friend was on Nancy Grace saying Trista was in Portland and had no way to leave Portland when Ayla went missing. It was 4 months later before we learn that Trista was actually on her way to Machiasport. There are so many things that make me shake my head.
Looking - Trista was on Nancy Grace. Nancy asked her where she was *the night* Ayla went missing. Trista said she was at the motel and then changed the subject. Amanda was on a different news show.
DeleteWhy do people say they think Trista was trying to build a family with Justin? That that is what she wanted? Trista was busy having a baby with Ray and "building" a new life with him. She was still engaged to him. Still called him her fiance. She was supposedly wanting to build a family with him. Granted she would not have been able to do so for about 7 more years. But at the time of Ayla's disappearance that was her current status. And then according to her even the day Ayla disappeared she was with his father on her way to visit him.
Delete"Why do people say they think Trista was trying to build a family with Justin?"
DeleteMy opinion, they are buying a story spun by Jeff, via wordman (Stand by your man), ...not sure how much Trista was involved in the telling of the tale.
I think if the police were working with the Dipeitros the Dipeitros wouldn't be bad mouthing the LE the way they have. JMO
ReplyDeleteIn what way are they badmouthing LE?
DeletePhoebee saying that she thinks McCusick (sp) is full of himself I believe she said he should check his facts before speaking also and there was a couple of other comments that were made during an interview. . . i will go find them.
DeleteI think this is what you were referring to, Anonymous 3:12. From the Portland Press Herald on March 30:
DeleteJustin DiPietro contended that McCausland's most recent statements are among several inaccurate ones by investigators.
DiPietro cited a January statement by McCausland that there were three adults and two children in the house the night before Ayla was reported missing, which McCausland later clarified to say there were three children in the home, "two besides Ayla."
"That's a little detail that they're getting wrong at the beginning of this investigation, so how many other things?" he said.
His mother added, "I think Mr. McCausland is very full of himself, and he should check his facts before he goes out and makes statements.
"In my opinion, he is not giving my family any hope that they are looking for a live Ayla," she said. "And his statements are leading people to stop looking for her. I plead, I beg the public to continue to look for her."
(from the same article...further down):
Elisha DiPietro said the public statement about the three adults knowing more than they are saying differs from what she was told in private.
"I've had a detective tell me multiple times that he thinks I'm telling the truth. And then to have Steve McCausland publicly say he doesn't think I am," she said. "I'm not the person you're trying to paint me out to be, and I don't appreciate it."
Justin DiPietro wouldn't speak at length about the discovery of blood. He said police showed him evidence of "a few drops."
______________________________
I do have to agree with you here, Anon. The DiPietro's comments cast a harsh light on LE. But that doesn't mean that their comments aren't justified.
Elisha's comments in this article ring hollow to me. Just because a detective tells you multiple times that they believe you does make it so. That smells like a police tactic to me.
See, Anon? I can play fair.
Well McCausland can be full of himself. And I don't think Phoebe saying he should check a few of his facts is bad mouthing him. Maybe she is correct after all. So I guess I am not sure how this is bad mouthing LE. Does not mean they don't appreciate the job the rest of LE is doing.
DeleteMcCausland is very full of himself. Anyone who lives in Maine & has paid any attention at all knows this.
DeleteIt is still so concerning the way Justin speaks to the mother of a baby that is missing in the texts that went back and forth. . to me he shows his colors in those texts. . . and if by chance it was Courtney who was responding for him it is even more concerning.
ReplyDeleteanon - If you were Justin and knew you were innocent and your ex, who you might suspect took your child, was swearing at you and accusing you of murdering the child, how long do you think it would be before you lost your patience? On the other hand, if he were guilty I'd think he wouldn't talk like that. Many times I've felt that neither of them know what happened to Ayla and that each suspect the other.
Delete"It is still so concerning the way Justin speaks to the mother of a baby that is missing?"
DeleteCan we say hypocrite here? Is it not concerning that Trista screams at the father, swears at him calls him an abuser, and murderer? The answer would be that if those things were true of him it would not be as concerning. However there is no proof that they are true. So as far as we know Trista is far guiltier of speaking in a concerning way to Justin the father of a missing baby. And maybe he just finally had enough and at least he only spoke to her in private in the same tone she was and has spoken to him. And he has not spoken about her negatively to the public at all. The same can not be said in reverse. So IMO Justin gets my respect here not Trista.
No concern for the way Trista speaks to/about the father of a missing baby? There's plenty of nasty on BOTH sides.
DeleteThe text show two young people who cannot get along, but if you look closely, Justin responded to Trista's remarks, which probably weren't nice! What do you think of the texts from Trista, are they civil (I specifically have in mind the one concerning Courtney)? Come on...REALLY, who's showing their true colors? And, is that the way Trista speaks to the father of a baby that is missing?
Deletesigned:getrealpeople
I'll tell you what if my baby went missing while in her father's care and LE was saying the the three in the house aren't saying all they know. . .and excuses were being made for me not to be able to communicate with her for the 2 weeks prior to this. . . and the dad didn't bother to call me to let me now she was missing and. . .my babies blood was found on the cellar floor. . .not to mention how sad she looks in almost every picture that has posted by that family. . . you better believe I would be calling him names.. . .until I got answers I would be hounding him like his worse nightmare. . . are you kidding me.
DeleteFurthermore, your baby girl is missing and you have the ignorance to insult the mother's weight. . . .wtf That is sadistic in itself. . .
DeleteI'm going to use some U4A logic here. If it weren't for Trista being such a desperate slut none of this would have happened. After all, she's too busy sleeping with everyone and partying to take care of her kids.
Delete@Anonymous
DeleteIt is very clear that Trista had a grudge against Justin way before Ayla went missing. She has made that clear ever since Ayla has been missing. I believe the name calling and anger started way before Ayla went missing not after. And is in fact what we call "motive" for kidnapping.
I have a hard time believing Trista had anything to do with Ayla being "missing" for many reasons.
ReplyDelete1. I dont believe she is intelligent enough to pull it off alone, (and if you go back to old comments you can read many other people feel the same way about her intelligence...but also believe she could pull it off.) That i just never understood.
2. Her drinking and such..too unstable to be keeping such an important event quiet.
3. Her inability to provide a stable home life for herself..let alone organizing a kidnapping for Ayla.
4. The financial backing to keep whomever has her quiet, plus provide for Ayla, while in hiding.
Im not bashing Trista, Im just saying she is too young and too unstable in her own life..to be able to pull it off..plus fool the LE for 9 plus months...IMO
Your not bashing Trista or anything. . .really????? You don't know what Trista's intelligence is. . . people who live in glass houses . . . as they say.
DeleteTrista is many things stupid is not one of them. And how organized do you have to be to walk into a home and take your child out. And then again there are a million places in this world to hide a child. And unless LE happens to look in that one place it is not so easy to find that child. It has been done thousands of times over every year. Sometimes by smart people sometimes by not so smart people. And usually the people are not rich but just those types who choose to not follow the law or people who are in fact unstable. Just look at the statistics.
DeleteI agree, Lisa. This argument that Trista was "not smart enough" to pull off such a caper is just silly. I'm far from convinced that Trista abducted Ayla, but my opinion isn't based on Trista's intelligence or lack thereof.
DeleteAnonymous...I don't much weight on those text messages. At the time they were released, I firmly believed Justin was guilty. Still, I jumped all over Tori for releasing them. Trista has a potty mouth...Justin has a potty mouth. Trista was just being nice on her end of the texts because it was her intent to preserve them to demonstrate Justin's character. Some people get off on spewing vulgarity and insults towards one another. Trista has a colorful vocabulary. I can only imagine her "nasty" email to Tori.
ReplyDeleteIf JSTL only allows Justin supporters to post, I'm on the wrong blog. I have NEVER accused Trista of being directly involved with Ayla's disappearance. That said, I think Trista has drawn some negative attention and raised some eyebrows in her direction by her very words
For what it is worth, I still lean towards the DiPietros as the principles involved. No matter how you slice it, Ayla's blood was discovered in the home. And that IS troubling. We just don't know the details about the blood. Depending upon the source, we have a "few drops" to "more than a cupful" and LE will not pipe in on the matter.
It has been more than 9 months. LE isn't talking. Hopefully, they are building a case. I'm not sure how LE could rule out an abduction and declare Ayla likely dead without explanation.

Delete"We are focused on what happened to her in that house," police spokesman Steve McCausland told WCVB.
ReplyDeleteThat's also the timeframe when police first said they'd analyzed hundreds of pieces of evidence and not one pointed to abduction. In May, police held a press conference, announcing to the public for the first time Ayla waslikely deceased. McCausland emphasized at that time that Ayla was not abducted.
While police are not telling the public anything they may have learned from analyzing blood spatter in DiPietro's house, it's likely they know a lot more than they've been telling giving the information released to date.
...
What do we know about Becca Hanson? I've only heard bits and pieces. She is Ayla's maternal grandmother, and yet I don't hear much from her. I know she attended an Ayla vigil and sold some Ayla-related trinkets at the event. I know she has a bone to pick with DHHS. I know she was incapable of taking a polygraph due to a strong daily cocktail of various medications, including pain-killers.
ReplyDeleteBecca seems to stay in the shadows. I don't see her speaking out for Trista. Or Ayla. My guess is that Becca might actually be an ill woman that has had a hard life.
This mysterious woman is a curiosity to me.
"This mysterious woman is a curiosity to me. "
DeleteMy thoughts also. Especially after the video with her "lurking" in the hallway while Trista was being interviewed.
You may not not agree with me mckeekitty, but I don't believe she was incapable of taking a polygraph test. Trista posted a website on the "aylareynolds.com" site after she took the test. It gave all the info on who should or shouldn't take polygraph tests. After Becca took it, she offered to go off her meds for a day and then retake it. Why that offer? Did she know she couldn't finish it when she started the test?
She appears to me as someone who knows (suspects) something, but doesn't want to be involved.
signed:getrealpeople
getreal...thank you for that clarification. I had thought Becca was dismissed as poor-poly material. I see now that she, like Trista, could not complete the test. From the Morning Sentinel:
DeleteAyla's uncle passed the exam, while Ayla's grandmother was unable to complete it, according to aylareynolds.com.
In an interview with the Morning Sentinel, Becca Hanson, Ayla's grandmother, declined to discuss the exam's specific questions, but said she told the polygraph examiner she had nothing to do with 21-month-old toddler's disappearance.
The exam was administered Friday by Maine State Police at Cumberland County Jail in Portland, she said, but the polygraph administrator couldn't conclude the exam because Hanson's daily medications interfered with the results. Hanson takes "muscle relaxers, pain-killers, depression medication and an antibiotic," she said.
Hanson said she offered to suspend her medication and retake the exam later, but police didn't offer a direct response, she said.
"They didn't say yes, they didn't say no. They just said they didn't think it was necessary," she said.
_________________________________________________
What is the point of submitting to a poly if you can't complete it???? I've never heard such nonsense. Sounds to me like the graph needle went haywire when Becca and Trista were being tested.
I have grave doubts that a polygraph administrator gives an "A for effort" for incomplete tests.
I find all that odd also, mckee. My understanding is that the examiner asks questions before they start a poly and that they won't test a person under certain circumstances. I don't like Nancy Grace, but I appreciate some of the conversations and information that come from there. The transcript regarding polygraphs is interesting. One of the experts asked Nancy what caused Trista to run out of the polygraph room. It doesn't say where she heard that.
DeleteI have to agree, the story about Trista's & Becca's polygraphs is odd.
Delete"They didn't say yes, they didn't say no. They just said they didn't think it was necessary," she said.
I find this very hard to believe.
If it is not necessary, why did they take the time, effort and cost to polygraph them in the first place?
It's just another one of those things that make no sense in this case.
from - http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1201/24/ng.01.html
DeleteGRACE: That`s Ayla`s mom on NBC`s "Today" show. She was referring to the specific questions that were asked of her during her polygraph. Cops say they got enough information, they`re satisfied with her answers, and they don`t even want to complete another polygraph.
OK, Woodrow Tripp, you`re the expert polygrapher, that says to me that they believe mommy, they don`t have any desire in polygraphing her again. And also, Woody, you and I know the facts, she was about 50 or 60 miles away at the time the baby goes missing.
WOODROW TRIPP, FORMER POLICE COMMANDER, POLYGRAPH EXPERT: Well, Nancy, one thing that I have to point out here, this is all coming from her. She is saying that the police are happy. We`re not hearing that from law enforcement, we`re not hearing that from the polygraph examiner. So, you know, it`s her story and that`s what she`s telling.
GRACE: Well, hold on. Hold on just a moment.
To Christopher Cousins, "Bangor Daily News," it`s my understanding police were happy with the answers that they got from her and they have no intention of asking her any further questions, hooked up to a lie detector.
CHRISTOPHER COUSINS, REPORTER, BANGOR DAILY NEWS: I have to agree with your other guest, Nancy, all the information we know about the polygraph test is coming from Trista herself. The police investigators have not disclosed anything about either polygraph test, citing the ongoing investigation.
GRACE: I`m glad to hear that, Christopher Cousins. Is that your understanding, John DePetro?
DEPETRO: It is, Nancy. What`s interesting, though, is they certainly don`t seem to focus on her. And from day one, if you remember, she just stayed away from the scene. She so far has not seemed to be a focus in any way of the investigation.
GRACE: Well, you know what, you guys are right. I stand corrected. Police have not stated they were happy with the results of her lie detector.
Ellie Jostad, have they made any plans to re-perform the tests?
ELLIE JOSTAD, NANCY GRACE CHIEF EDITORIAL PRODUCER: Nancy, they wouldn`t tell us anything about polygraphs, planned polygraphs, taken polygraphs in regards to Trista Reynolds, the mom. They just would not comment.
___
GRACE: OK, Woody, what type of medical condition would arise midstream in a poly that would cause cops to stop the test?
TRIPP: Well, that`s just it, Nancy. When we start a polygraph, pre- interview, we get those questions answered. That`s the whole point of the pre-test interview. We discuss mental conditions, we discuss physical conditions, we discuss medical conditions before we ever get started.
And let me also point this out. We don`t render a verdict on a polygraph examination midway through it. There is a series of tests that we conduct, a minimum of three, as part of the examination. So saying that they stopped it in the middle, but that they`re OK and everything`s hunky-dory is absolutely bull. We don`t do that. We don`t render a verdict midway through an exam. It just doesn`t happen. So, again, it`s her story, she`s telling it. But it is her story.
GRACE: To Greg Kading, former LAPD, author of "Murder Rap," what does it say to you, Gregg, that the mom says, fine, I`ll take it again, strap me up?
GREG KADING, FMR. LAPD DETECTIVE, AUTHOR OF "MURDER RAP": Well, (INAUDIBLE) it works in her favor. Obviously her statements are self- serving until we hear from law enforcement what actually occurred there, and you know we`ll obviously know more. I`ve taken polygraphs before and have -- they`ve been rendered inconclusive because I have a heart murmur. So there are these physiological conditions that may affect the results of these polygraph, or if there are medications that she`s on, as a result of some medical condition.
Until those questions are answered, we really can`t draw a conclusion as to how much emphasis we should put on this poly.

GRACE: With me also psychologist Michelle Golland, from Dr. Michellemusings.com.
Doctor, thank you for being with us. What do you make of the dad when asked questions in public? He goes, yes, I`m not going to answer any of that. I`m just here showing support. How does that strike you? FYI, he is not a person of interest. He is not a suspect. Go ahead, Michelle.
MICHELLE GOLLAND, PSYCHOLOGIST, EXPERT ON MOMLOGIC.COM: You know, Nancy, I have to say, you may disagree with me on this. I have my suspicions also about the mother. I don`t like his attitude --
GRACE: She wasn`t there.
GOLLAND: -- is very suspicious. Well, but I have to say my concerns about her is, I`d like to ask the police chief, what was her medical condition that she ran out of a polygraph? Was that a panic attack?
GRACE: Let me ask you, just what difference does it make if she`s not a suspect, if she was nowhere near the scene, she can have rehab problems? For all I know she`s got an alcohol or drug problem. I don`t know what her problem is or if she even has a problem.
GOLLAND: Absolutely. I think she clearly has a problem.
GRACE: But what I care about is -- well, what difference does it make if she is not implicated?
GOLLAND: It makes -- Nancy, it -- well, he`s not a suspect either. I am trying --
GRACE: Yes, answer my question, please.
GOLLAND: Which question?
GRACE: The only one I asked you, which is if she was not on the scene and was living 40, 50 miles away and has an alibi for that night, why are people jumping on her rehab problem or her substance problem? It doesn`t matter. All that matters is where`s the baby.
GOLLAND: Absolutely. But we know that families who are struggling with drugs and alcohol and having and going to court and getting orders to take children away as well --
GRACE: Right. Right. Right.
GOLLAND: Also have issues.
GRACE: Issues, OK.
GOLLAND: I think we have to be very careful.
GRACE: Well, that is -- that is extremely vague and not much help. Frankly. I`m just, you know, telling you like it is no offense.
I saw this too, Space Between, and found it disturbing. Nancy is clearly cutting off Golland in mid-sentence, essentially dismissing Golland's concerns about Trista.
DeleteNancy Grace really turns me off.
Space Between...what I find conveniently missing from Trista and Becca's account of the testing procedure is WHO decided to discontinue the poly...the administrator or the subject?
DeleteThis is, of course, a rhetorical question. I'm sure Trista and Becca would have been very vocal if the administrator aborted their tests due to health conditions of both mother and daughter. And yes...there is a pre-screen test before the actual poly that Trista and Becca must have aced prior to the real deal.
IIRC, Grace made mention that Justin and Jeff Hanson were familiar with one another prior to the events of December 17? Is this true? Or was it just something Grace saw in the stars?
I haven't heard boo about Jeff, Jessica, Ron, Sr. or Bob Vear submitting to a poly. Did I miss a beat?
And in all fairness, would Heidi and Derek be willing to be polyed?
I realize I'm casting a wide net for expensive and time-consuming lie-detecting tests, but the more cobwebs that can be swept away, the better.
mckee - I don't remember mention of Justin and Jeff being familiar with each other - but there was mention that Justin and Jeremy Hanson knew of each other before Ayla went missing. Also, we know that Lance knew the Reynolds before Justin met Trista.
DeleteI agree about those 6 people having a poly. When they're dealing with such an important investigation, and one that's already into the 10th month and several hundred thousand dollars the cost to do 6 (or more) additional polygraphs is negligible.
McKee
DeleteI remember Jeff saying somewhere in the comments on U4A that he had not met Justin until the balloon vigil.
I have a hard time following the logic of this blog. . .I mean, if you were discussing where Baby Ayla could be or what could have happened to her. . . but no all I see here is Trista bashing for no reason. . . Ayla was with her when she went missing. . . Trista doens't know what happened in the days before and after Ayla went missing. The only people who know this are the three adults that were in that home. There was no kiddnapping, if there were Justin would be pleading with the kidnappers that he claims weren't her parents. . . . those words came out of Justin's mouth so he doesn't believe Trista was involved why do all you people here keep going on and on and on about this. Trista had nothing to do with the demise of her beautiful little girl. Why are you focusing on Courtney? Or Justin since someone said that they saw Justin THROW AYLA.
ReplyDeleteanon, there are other blogs that are only DiPietro bashing and a lot of wild speculation and rumor (as long as it goes along with the anti-DiPietro agenda)
DeleteFor instance "someone said that they saw Justin THROW AYLA" - the origins of that statement - supposedly Trista sent text messages between her and Justin to Tori's phone, Tori then sent them to her email but then couldn't open them with her computer program, so they were opened and sorted by Megan who then put them on the blog - these texts were out of order and incomplete - one of the texts from Trista to Justin said someone (unidentified) told her that they saw Justin throw Ayla at some time (unspecified) - then when Tori returned to her blog she said the first time she ever heard from Trista was a scathing hate-filled email in which Trista told Tori to stay out of blogging about Ayla... so, to me, there's not any credibility to the statement that Justin threw Ayla
anon 3:26
DeleteI don't understand why questioning Trista, and her family, is bashing Trista. Every blog has a different topic.
You can't possibly know "Trista had nothing to do with the demise of her beautiful little girl". You also can't know that Justin is guilty, and you shouldn't interpret rumors about Justin as facts. None of us know what happened to Ayla, nor do we claim to.
If you "have a hard time following the logic of this blog", you must certainly be totally lost on the other blogs!
signed:getrealpeople
Really?...I gave Tori hell for the release of those texts. And at the time, I was firmly "anti-Justin."
DeleteI found the texts to be "baiting-for-trouble" on Trista's part. The time-stamps were WAY out of whack, and the word "entrapment" came to mind.
As a side note, it isn't lost on me that Tori jumped ship from U4A on the heels of the text release. I think Tori got a dose of Trista's caustic tongue in the "nasty" email she received from Trista.
Justin remains on my radar. But not because he told Trista to "eat shit."
mckee, it's also curious that Tori said she hadn't heard from Trista ever before receiving the email. If that is true, who was sending Trista and Justin's texts to Tori's phone? How did Tori's number get in her phone? Having her phone number, why wouldn't she call Tori? Trista seems like the verbally confrontational type.
DeleteReally stated, "...then when Tori returned to her blog she said the first time she ever heard from Trista was a scathing hate-filled email in which Trista told Tori to stay out of blogging about Ayla". I missed that in your post above, and on U4A. They are making things very complicated! Is it because they can't keep up with all the lies they have told?
Deletemckeekitty - I never understood why the time-stamps were wrong. Tori tried to explain it, but it made no sense to me.
signed:getrealpeople
*Correction, Ayla was NOT with her when she went missing.
ReplyDeleteReally? said "...then when Tori returned to her blog she said the first time she ever heard from Trista was a scathing hate-filled email in which Trista told Tori to stay out of blogging about Ayla... so, to me, there's not any credibility to the statement that Justin threw Ayla"
ReplyDeleteShe did not say it was the "first time she ever heard from Trista." She said it was the first time Trista ever "reached out to [me]." Tori may well have reached out to Trista and "heard from Trista" many times before.
I didn't have the exact quote, but I would consider sharing texts to be reaching out to someone -
DeleteIn the reading it implies (at least to me) that they had no interaction previously. If they had, wouldn't we have read something like "we had spoken (any number of times) before and I had her blessing" or "I thought we were friends?"
I often wonder how LE would react if they received a tip that a toddler fitting Ayla's description was in a store. Are they so convinced that she is deceased that they wouldn't investigate the tip immediately?
ReplyDeleteJust thinking out loud...
That's a good question. Does it have to do with who is called? Would there be a difference in reaction to the call, dependent on if the tip line for Ayla is called, or the local police department where the child is supposedly seen. Remember the couple that was accused of having "Baby Lisa", more than once. I believe that was local, and they had to show police proof that the child was in fact theirs, if I remember correctly. This couple was harassed because people thought her baby looked like Lisa.
Deletesigned:getrealpeople
That is a very good question McKee. Furthermore I wonder how it feels to be the parent of a missing child and then to also be a parent who believes your child is out there but has to worry that their biggest resource for help may not even be looking.
DeleteThis blog is getting redundant and boring
DeleteIf I was spotting a toddler resembling Ayla in the state of Maine, I would place my call to MSP. Afterall, it was MSP that declared Ayla "likely dead."
DeleteI'm certainly not suggesting that a false tip be submitted...I'm simply curious how such a tip would be handled.
I think if the tip were taken seriously with an immediate response, it would indicate LE may have spoken prematurely. If the tip was dismissed as "impossible" by MSP, it would indicate that the evidence indeed supports a deceased Ayla.
If you thought you spotted Ayla and called MSP, how would they handle the response. I believe they should take it seriously, even if they "believe" Ayla is dead. It seems they would have to call the local PD to check it out. And, it would have to be done quickly.
DeleteIf they dismissed the tip, I think that would be a serious injustice to this case. Even if they have evidence that "supports" a deceased Ayla, they don't in fact know that to be the truth.
signed:getrealpeople
@ Mckee,
DeleteVery interesting thought, and a good point.
My impression is that they would take it seriously, and promptly investigate.
My thoughts as well, getreal and S.
DeleteI keep reviewing the press conference, and I keep seeing a very weak explanation to conclude Ayla is dead. It reads to me like "well, we can't find her so we're just going to say she's gone."
What troubles me is that the PC essentially told the public to "stand down" in searching for Ayla. If I saw a toddler that looked like Ayla, I would have to weigh the accuracy of my own eyes against LE's disturbing words.
I don't mean to offend, but I think LE may have fucked up. It does happen...
@Mckee
DeleteLE is totally locked on to justin, based on evidence found at the home. They would dismiss the sighting as "impossible".
DD
mckeekitty, I agree, "but I think LE may have fucked up. It does happen...". I just hope they are looking elsewhere, besides what their PC's indicate to the public.
DeleteThey have said nothing, but "we think", "we believe", "we feel", etc., that the three in the house know more than what they are telling us. That astounds me! It has been over 9 months since Ayla disappeared and they are still saying the same thing. I have thought it was a deceptive tactic on LE's part, but not so sure anymore. I really don't know what to think!
Do they not want to be proved wrong, or are they looking for a live Ayla, and just not telling us about it? It makes no sense with all the searches for a deceased Ayla.
I am at a loss as to what LE is doing.
signed:getrealpeople
getreal...I don't think they are looking for a live Ayla. LE would request the public's help, asking for all eyes and ears to keep an eye out for her, IMO.
DeleteMSP, and specifically Steve McCausland, took heat for the handling of the Kitty Wardwell case. Kitty's remains were found in a storage unit in Lewiston nearly 30 years after disappearing. What is so eerie to me is that she was found in October, 2011...the same month Justin took custody of Ayla. Wardwell's story was splashed all over the Morning Sentinel.
MSP caught hell by Kitty's family. Why didn't LE discover that Kitty's killer, the prime suspect in her case, had a storage unit under his own name? Had Julian not died at the age of 80 and his storage unit cleaned out, Kitty's case would still not be solved.
MSP received a black eye. I don't think they want to be proved wrong (again). Just my take.
Google "Kitty Wardwell" if you are not familiar with the case. It is a fascinating read.
Wow ...doesn't really instill a sense of confidence in MSP's abilities, does it? Yikes
Deletehttp://bangordailynews.com/2011/10/02/obituaries/francis-frank-p-julian/
DeleteInteresting to note that Julian was predeceased by the two mothers of his ten children. Sure hope their deaths weren't deemed suspicious.
DeleteHopefully your remark mckee does not tempt someone to call in a false tip just to see what happens. I saw something recently that looked to be down that deceptive trail to see if LE would take notice.
Mckeeitty
DeleteIt is going to take some digging which I do not have time to do right now but on this facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/Help.Find.Ayla?ref=ts&fref=ts
There was a lady a while back much further back than the press conference that had posted a message that she thought she had just seen Ayla in Portland. She took pictures with her cell phone and attempted to follow them but lost them. She called either WPD or MSP and reported what she saw and no one ever called her back or followed up with her. She ended up sending pictures to Trista and Heidi who both verified it was not Ayla. I promise to look up the exact conversation tomorrow when i have time.
Looking - that is discouraging to hear
DeleteThere have been many tips over a thousand according to LE. Here are a few that I find interesting.
DeleteTrista was allegedly seen with Ayla the Sunday night and Monday morning after Ayla went missing by three witnesses.
Also Trista was seen by a nine year old around same time in Portland with Ayla allegedly.
Ayla was allegedly spotted with Trista and a couple of men with tattoo's in Walmart here in Maine.
Person reported possibly a sighting of Ayla in downtown Portland.
Person reported allegedly seeing Ayla with woman fitting description of Jessica in Florida.
Thanks for the posts re: possible Ayla sightings.
DeleteIf there was just a slim chance of Ayla being alive, I don't understand why LE would not urge the public to be alert and vigilant. And if there is any truth to LE ignoring possible sightings...well, wow.
I can only conclude that the evidence of a deceased Ayla is overwhelming.
Ugh.
Mckee- I doubt they have ignored anything. I do not believe they would announce she is most likely dead if there was even a .01% chance she was still out there and alive. There is a ton of evidence not released. Do you really think they told the nutty mother and her big mouthed stepfather the REAL EVIDENCE they have gathered. I am not saying this because I think she is a suspect, I am saying this because of the history of loose lips being used for blog attention.
Deletewhy didn't that nutjob Kadoe's 'relative/friend' go to the police station with his 'STORY' and collect the reward money ? KADOE is full of shit in my opinion and I think it's sick and sad that poor Ayla has freaks preventing the truth from coming out by muddying the waters with their bullshit.

DeleteLE knows what they are doing, they know what happened to Ayla and they are now just putting their case together. . .I know this as fact. .
ReplyDeleteThey are just NOW putting their case together???? Shit...I was hoping they had been putting their case together for months...
DeleteNothing personal, but I'm always cynical when I hear "I know this as fact." It is always the opening line to an Urban Legend...
Anon. 9:29 3:53
DeleteThe way your comment reads, you are not doing LE or MSP any favors. They are JUST NOW putting their case together? Just now, 4 months, *4 months*, after making an announcement proclaiming that Ayla likely would not be found alive.
I would have hoped and thought that they had their case together long before making such an announcement.
However you may be right, MSP is Just Now starting to get this case together. I hope you're correct,...finally.
Anon didn't say *just now* He said now just, meaning that is all they are doing now (putting the case together).
Delete@ hillary,
DeleteOkay, point taken Hillary,..they and now just putting the case together.
Either way, I would have thought, and hoped that MSP had the case all put together before making an annoncement such as they did concerning Ayla being found alive.
I still believe that this annonuncement had to do with MSP case strategy, rather than informing the public of anything.
S - you make a good point about the announcement being strategy - as MSP is certainly not forthcoming about much of anything - their interests do not lie in informing the public but in solving the case
DeleteSeems like this blog is getting tired of talking about Ayla. . . very sad
ReplyDeleteHuh?
Deletesigned:getrealpeople
This blogs focus has never been to talk about Ayla, its purpose is to stop the lies and rumours about the Paternal family, who have done nothing wrong. Nothing prove able as they have not been named suspects and have not been arrested.. Not going on the news to beg for your baby is not a crime.
DeleteGrace - If you're reading here, interesting new blog post about the Irwin connection. I googled the man you mentioned and then thought of Kadoe's witness friend who said the man carrying the baby had a brown, shortly-trimmed beard. I wonder if Kadoe's friend would recognize him.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.kctv5.com/story/16969868/witness-in-lisa-irwin-case-faces-stabbing-charge
I have always thought that this guy had much more to do with Lisa's disappearance than what he was willing to admit. Creepy, creepy, creepy...
DeleteWhat I find even weirder is that on that night, a dumpster was set on fire, not far from the house where Lisa disappeared, the dumpster was on the same track between the house and where people say they saw a man with a baby. I wonder if the police analysed the items burned in the dumpster.
Deletethat guy, the missing cellphone, the dumpster fire... all very strange
Deletevery strange also that he may have a connection to Ayla
Kadoe's witness friend can identify 3 of the adults seen on cool st the morning of the 911 call. LE has not followed up on this tip. very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteWho are the 3 adults Kadoe said her witness friend identified ?
DeleteBonnie - if I'm remembering correctly, there was a man with a short trimmed beard and gray leather jacket; a short woman with brown hair, spaces between her teeth, and furry boots; a tall, skinny man in a NY Yankees hat; and a 4th person with a hoodie on.
DeleteEven if the people seen had nothing to do with Ayla's disappearance, it would be good if they could be identified. I wonder if Kadoe's witness friend knows the Vears? Bob is a big Yankees fan. Doesn't he live near there?
I noticed on the now closed missingaylareynolds blog that Kadoe posted that he spoke with Ben McCanna. He reported that Ben said he didn't know who the people were, the ones he previously thought were not the ones seen. He also said that Ben told him he'd told Phoebe they knew who the woman was.
The space between, thanks for your answer
DeleteVear lives in wtvl but he did live in NY at one point, so hence the reason he is a fan of NYY. Vear is. FAR from skinny also.
ReplyDeleteWho made this shit up about a dumpster on fire near the house? Never heard this ANYWHERE.
now why would this KADOE wierdo report this to a newspaper reporter and NOT DIRECTLY TO POLICE. Why would KADOE run to the press with info so alledgely sensitive and blab like an idiot all over blogs. FOR ATTENTION. that's why. IT'S MADE UP CRAP so he/she/it could feed their attention-whoritis. NOTHING MORE.
on second thought it could be a diversion.....
Deletecookie - the dumpster comment was about the Irwin case
Deletelol. a confused cookie. sounds like your meds haven't kicked in yet. why does this tip set you off? or do you not "realise" that?
ReplyDeleteSuch a potty mouth shame shame.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is pathetic! Can you change the topic already. . . its been a week. . . pathetic. At least on the other blog there is a topic to discuss regularly and intelligent conversation. . . .
ReplyDeleteHow is still discussing the baby gate for a month a new topic over there? Selena already explained where the baby gate was placed and you all still wanna discuss a fall down the stairs.. And I wouldnt consider everyone kissing each others ass over there intelligent conversation. It must be somehwat interesting for you here if you come here t read nice and early at 7 am :)
DeleteIts was actually 8am, just arriving at work and usually check out both blogs. . . as far as the baby gate. . .yeah I believe Selena. . . NOT The baby gate is suspicious and something to discuss. . . and again this blog is boring and redundant. . . My belief is that it was broken in a fit of rage by Justin! Just saying
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, that blogger that posted the above post about Trista. . .. that is the mind set of this blog. .. disgusting that it was allowed to stay on the blog. . . what does insulting the mother of a lost baby have to do with intelligent discussion????? I don't see that childishness on the other blog. . .
ReplyDeleteThe other blog not childish? Really? I suppose its quite mature then to block people commenting just because they have a differing opinion. I never posted anything vulgar or inappropriate. I don't agree with the above comment calling Trista a crackwhore either but its not my blog to say what goes. And I certainly prefer people of all opinions welcome here rather than being censored at the other blog just because I don't fit into their "Justin is guilty" mold. I personally feel Justin is responsible but not sure to what extent and I hate closed minded people who will ignore facts just to fit in over there. The entire thread is "Amen mama!" and "ITA John" and the same ideas being agreed upon by everyone day in and day out. Whats there the even read...they have all made up their crazy minds!
DeleteAnd furthermore they have blocked and moderated commenters they "claim" were too descriptive because they say it is too tough for Trista and family to read. Yet they have sure as hell talked about the blood spatter in ever detail there lately. Those commenters can stay why? Because they think Justin is a murderer.
Deletein response to -space between- 10/2, 11:40am i agree with your summation regarding the identity of the individuals on cool st that morning. i do not believe LE has even attempted to do this. LE is so certain that Justin is the culprit, that they do not look elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteI find that disconcerting, anon. They should want to find and talk to anyone that was in the area at that time, regardless of what they think happened. Maybe they do know who it is, but just aren't acknowledging that to the witness.
DeleteI went back and read Obscure's post and comments re: Bob Vear - found in http://juststopthelies.blogspot.com/2012/09/5-faqs-lance.html
DeleteI looked at CBG's article http://news.yahoo.com/pedophilia-baby-ayla-side-story-central-theme-233000599.html in which Bob is quoted as having posted Jan. 29, "I, personally am involved deeper than you may, or even I realize, or in my personal case, realized."
I looked at some of Bob's other writing on roll-it-up. Which included the statement that he is normally up at 3 AM and that he sleeps on the sofa because of night terrors, sweats, and oxygen. In December, he was posting a lot in the mornings, but did not post between 5:11 AM on the 17th and 6:15 AM on the 18th.
Photos suggest a possible resemblance between the Vears and 2 of the people in Kadoe's friend's reported sighting.
All that said, I do find it a stretch to believe that anyone would commit a crime in partial daylight, especially knowing they've been seen by more than one person.
My understanding from Bob Vear, was that his statement regarding being "... involved deeper than you may, or even I realize, or in my personal case, realized" was in reference to his alleged conversations with Lance regarding blood, conversations he reportedly conveyed to the MSP. I know this from emails I received from Bob Vear at that time. - KJ
DeleteWow, Space. Excellent cyber sleuthing re: Bob's "normal" blogging hours on roll-it-up! I dare say you have sound investigative blood flowing through your veins.
DeleteBob is so obviously creepy that I'm almost positive he's been looked at good and hard. I think if there was a chance Bob was a suspect, Lance would have killed him.
I agree with KJ. I don't think Bob considered the possibility of his victim coming forward on the internet to expose his past. I believe Bob's cryptic "being involved deeper" comment regarded a general question about blood removal by Lance. It is my contention that Bob inserted himself because the case was high-profile and he enjoyed his day in the sun rubbing elbows with MSM. JMO.
KJ and mckee - thank you for sharing your thoughts - just looking at other ideas that haven't been discussed much yet - we are all emotionally invested in Ayla and this case.
Delete"...just looking at other ideas that haven't been discussed much yet - we are all emotionally invested in Ayla and this case."
Delete______________________
Absolutely, space! I would never have considered Vear's blogging patterns...I'm really impressed that you explored such a fine and specific detail.
I do wonder if Vear was asked or offered to be polyed. But Bob is probably off-the-charts as far as pre-existing medical conditions that prohibit polygraph testing.
Leave no stone unturned, space.
Thanks mckee. I had a long typed out, went to copy/paste and the page refreshed. It was about 4 scenarios (1 in which Justin knows, 1 in which Trista knows, and 2 in which neither of them know) that keep coming up for me, and how for each thought of what could be, there's another that follows that says it can't. I'm a little too frazzled right now to retype. Hopefully another time.
Deletespace, I agree with kitty.
DeleteEndless speculations based upon theories and presumptions rarely gets to the bottom of things. It might feel good to the people doing it, but does it help Ayla?
What you did- wow. You looked at factual information and pointed out a curious piece of that. What that means we don't know, and can't make assumptions from it, but it certainly opens the door to other possibilities to consider! Which, by the way, is good to do.
I differentiate between that and confusing fiction for fact by basing a campaign on "I know who did it. Everyone else be damned. Amen."
The reason LE is so certain Justin is guilty is because of the evidence they have so far in this case. . . they have more than enough evidence to know who did this to Ayla!
ReplyDeleteIf they had "more than enough evidence to know who did this to Ayla", why then have there been no arrests?
DeleteExactly, why no arrests then? And if Trista is completely innocent what would it hurt LE to have officially ruled her out? LE has not ruled either her or Justin out as suspects. They haven't named or ruled out anyone. And what evidence are you referring to because LE has not released specific evidence info. So how do you even know what, if any, evidence they have thus far?
DeleteWell, if this is an irrefutable truth, why no arrest(s)? Why no person of interest named? Why no public statement clearing Trista, Bob Vear, Robert Fortier, Justin Linnell, Derek Tudela...? Why did McCausland state that Justin is free to come and go at will at the PC? Why not a statement from LE that they are satisfied with Trista and Becca's incomplete polygraphs? Why allow Gabbie to remain in a household in the company of a baby killer?
DeleteYou know, I would feel differently if the DiPietros had a history with DHHS. I would feel differently if Gabbie or Aiden had sustained suspicious injuries. I would feel differently if the DiPietros had a reputation with drugs. I would feel differently if Justin had a history of domestic violence. I would feel differently if the cops were called to the house on a regular basis. I would feel differently if Justin said some of the off-the-wall comments that Trista has uttered. I would feel differently if neighbors reported hearing screaming babies.
I would expect that if this case is as air-tight as you claim, there would be some forward-moving activity. I don't think anyone wants to see the guilty enjoy a single additional day of undeserved freedom. JMO.
mckee - I agree. I think there are far too many people with means, motive, and opportunity - and if you were to write them all down with what is known of each one, the ones with seemingly the most opportunity (known to be at the house) are the ones with the least known prior problems with the law or DHHS or drugs.
Delete@ anon 10/3/12 12;08 pm.
DeleteI think you may have made a mistake and commented on the wrong blog.
I agree that this is the wrong blog. . . for sure. . . I believe Justin knows what happened to Ayla, I believe that he is not sharing all he knows with LE. . I believe he knows that LE will never find her because he has made sure that they won't. . . I believe Justin is a poor excuse of a sperm donner never mind father. .. . I don't understand why he isn't pleading with the so called kidnappers????
ReplyDeleteWrong blog = buh bye!!
Delete"Justin is a poor excuse of a sperm donner (don't even get me started on your spelling) never mind father" ......hmm thats exactly the same as n the other blog so why not go there? Looks like thats where you fit in best. For sure.
Anon...I think we can agree this is a baffling case. We are approaching the ten-month mark, some half a million dollars has been exhausted, and the largest reward in Maine history has gone unclaimed.
DeleteTo me, these facts indicate a very complex case. The DiPietros certainly remain on my radar. But I'm uncomfortable with some other players as well. Bob Vear molested his own 7-year-old step-daughter. Bob identifies himself as a pedophile while organizing vigils for Ayla. Bob describes Ayla as his granddaughter on FB. Trista and Becca cannot complete polygraphs. Trista contradicts herself. Ayla goes missing some 30 hours after Trista files for custody.
Realistically, I don't believe Trista was going to be awarded custody of Ayla. Justin may have been living in Phoebe's basement, but at least he wasn't homeless. Trista had a history with DHHS, and I'm sure the agency is keeping an eye on Little Ray. Trista has a history with substance abuse, and I don't think family court would just return Ayla to her. JMO.
Has everyone seen the information about Israel Keyes? He was arrested for the murder of Samantha Koenig in Alaska. There is a page on fb, I believe started by Samantha's father, that's looking at connections to other unsolved missing/murder cases, including 2 in NH.
