2 Black Cadillacs

I love that song, but this post is about 2 baby blankets.

Releasing details could jeopardize the case against the perpetrators. So what does that mean to Trista?

GO AHEAD AND RELEASE THE DETAILS.

It's becoming obvious to me that she is more than likely one of the perpetrators.

I swear, I cannot make this shit up!

Damn those items in the dam. (Sorry couldn't resist that).

    Soooo....

Trista couldn't identify them and Justin had "no response". Um hello, who said that? LE? I don't think so since they haven't set a "damn" thing about the items found at the dam.

If the items aren't off limits (so say Jeff and Trista) then they also don't appear to be part of the "unequivocal evidence" that establishes that Ayla is dead. Surely if they were, then talking about the items would "jeopardize the case against the perpetrator(s)". In other words, IF we are to believe all that Jeff and Trista are saying, then the items found in the dam ARE NOT RELEVANT and therefore Justin's response or lack of response (made up by Trista and Jeff or not) is also NOT RELEVANT. So why talk about them at all? Oh right, to get in another dig at Justin with the he had "no response" comment.

    Oi!

Oh p.s. Minor technicality, but Jeff said, "the photos found at the damn". So photos of two blankets were found at the dam? Not actual blankets? Amazing that the photos withstood all that water... (yeah, sarcasm)

  3. So once again when called out. And asked by the public "How can you release information if told by MSP not to?" Their story simply and conveniently changes. Funny how that is a pattern with them.

  4. OT:

"Kurt Ronald Newman, 4, of Manchester was reported missing on Sept. 1, 1975, after he wandered away from his family’s campsite at Chain of Ponds Public Reserve near Coburn Gore on the Quebec border.

That one “did not end with a happy ending,” he (McCausland) said. “In fact, we never found him.”

Please note from the article that McCausland cited Newman's case among the THREE LARGEST missing child cases in Maine history, including Ayla's.

Then please research (Google) "Kurt Newman missing." All I stumbled upon was a stale Websleuths thread from 2006. Am I missing something?

How can McCausland conclude Newman's case didn't end well?

Kitty Wardwell...well, that case didn't end well, did it Mr. McCausland?

KJ...TT...others...can you do some sleuthing on this "historical" Maine missing child case?

    TIA!

    1. It was a typo in the article. The last name is Newton, not Newman. The child disappeared in 1975.

  7. Police have maintained near-perfect silence during the ongoing investigation. Steve McCausland, spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety, has shared some information over the last year but mainly deflects questions with now-familiar refrain: "Those are investigative details and we're not getting into them."

Both Waterville police and Maine State Police have denied requests for the transcript from the 911 call that DiPietro made that morning a year ago. The dispatcher who took the call would not comment and the two police officers who were first on the scene -- one of whom is now retired -- won't share what they saw and heard.http://www.kjonline.com/news/closer-look-at-cases-earliest-moments_2012-12-17.html

So the only ones it appears who think it is okay to talk in this case are Trista and Jeff.

  8. Please everyone, rest assured that the great detectives of U4A will find out where these blankets came from, and why they were disposed of.
