I've seen a lot of statement analysis lately. It's the new thing. Even the village idiot (John P.) has mastered it. I can't help but notice though, they do not analyze the things that Trista says. Is there a reason for that? I mean, the village idiot CONSTANTLY talks about the shortage of statements from Justin...Trista has given plenty. Yet and still, they don't analyze those statements. Anyone truly concerned with Justice for AYLA would be looking to find any and all deception, yes?
Trista
The test asked “just if I had taken Ayla or if I know who could have gone and taken Ayla,’’ Reynolds told TODAY exclusively. “Obviously, no, I have no idea who took her or where she is or anything like (that), and I never took her. I have no reason to hide of any of that. I would never do that.’’
Justin
"First, I'd like to thank everyone involved for their continued support in finding our daughter, Ayla. I have no idea what happened to Ayla, or who is responsible."
"I would never do anything to hurt my child. The questions of Ayla's arm or bruises or anything else being said are simply ludicrous.
Analysis of Justin (that also applies to Trista)
Rarely can a person honestly say, "I have no idea." Most people can think of some possibility for what occurred.
When you are accused or suspected of having done something, the use of the word "never" is a weak denial.
I need your help!
CAN ANYONE LINK ME TO STATEMENT ANALYSIS OF ANY OF TRISTA'S STATEMENTS?
Only what

IMO, SA is at best something that might...might..be somewhat helpful when interrogating someone. Otherwise, I think it's a bunch of hooey.
ReplyDeleteI think you just proved that, thank you.
Ha.
DeleteI would love to see an honest, civil dialogue as to how Trista's statements are any different than Justin's. Statement Analysis is either a science---and holds true for all people---or it's junk.
I would also love an explanation as to why no one likes to discuss the FACT that Trista said Justin was the last person to see Ayla ALIVE very early in the case.
They aren't any different. Each is deceiving us about something. We just need to figure out what.
DeleteI can't tell you why no one wants to discuss that fact, Obscure. But I would be happy to toss around ideas as to what her statement could mean.
Good point Obscure. I swear when I first saw her make that statement early on in the case it was a huge red flag. I even turned to my husband and said I bet that woman killed her daughter.
Deletevs2vs, I think that's at the bottom of my list of theories---but it is NOT outside the realm of possibility!
DeleteMe too. My thoughts changed as time went on. But I never could let that comment go.

ReplyDeleteThat's from 2004.

This story is nine years old...
DeleteLink??
DeleteThis is old news from 2004 is it not? What is the purpose of posting it again?
DeleteThis story was published on Jan. 29, 2004 on Page B2 in edition 3 of the Bangor Daily News.
DeleteGosh damn Oneannon, we get it! The story is old. I'm removing the comment now, and NO MORE COMMENTS ABOUT IT WILL BE POSTED.
DeleteSorry, when I posted the comments above were not visable so I had no idea that the date had allready be pointed out. The second was a copy and paste showing proof (or should have been link) because I figured I would be asked.
DeleteI'd love to know who bailed her out?
ReplyDeletehttp://seamusoriley.blogspot.com/2011/12/ayla-reynolds-drugs-abuse-and-neglect.html
ReplyDeleteThank you Obscure. I have been saying this from the first time SA put out a piece on Ayla. I would love to see Peter pull Trista's words apart.
ReplyDeleteThis has always got to me.
On January 18 Trista says: “The police have told me I can tell people whatever I want about the investigation, but that they won’t back me up with it,” Reynolds said. http://bangordailynews.com/2012/02/15/news/state/aylas-mother-going-on-offensive-in-search-for-missing-girl/
Then that same week when it comes down to talking with Peter this happens: * Blogtalk Radio cancelled a scheduled interview with the tot's mother Trista Reynolds Sunday after Reynolds delineated areas she would not address, citing the advice of law enforcement. The Peter Hyatt show had planned to provide Trista Reynolds with advance questions, but upon learning of the subject-matter restrictions, canceled, noting synchronicity between the intended questions and the restricted areas. Those areas included Justin DiPietro, his girlfriend Courtney Roberts, family, and Ayla's bruising and broken arm. http://news.yahoo.com/ayla-reynolds-case-outside-official-investigation-225500312.html
So my question is which is it? Can she say whatever she wants or Can she not talk about certain things, or was she just afraid Peter would use her words and prove her to be a liar.
GREAT CATCH.
DeleteMany things change as an investigation continues on.
DeleteCome on Oneannon. You strike me as a thoughtful, fair person. Why not call a spade a spade?
DeleteIf it's not a spade I don't call it a spade, simple.
DeleteAlways a challenge...
DeleteThese are two that contain analysis of Trista, the first one in particular. In my opinion, there was less of a need to analyze Trista's statements as time went by. She may be deceptive or misleading about some peripheral things in her life, but has shown no deception in her statements regarding the disappearance or whereabouts of her daughter.

I am not an expert in SA, nor have I ever claimed to be. I do believe that in the hands of a trained analyst, it is a science that can be relied upon to show sensitivity and deception. Fortune 500 companies, the FBI, schools, local governments and police departments all use statement analysis.
Dee, I just posted a statement from Trista that contained deception regarding Ayla. Are you serious right now?
DeleteNot that Dee needs my help, she appears to be able to remain neutral, but do you want me to copy and paste what Dee had to say about your comments or did you already read them yourself? It appears to me she is serious with what she has said.
DeleteWhat a wonderful dedication for sweet, little Ayla! Has anyone heard if any of Ayla's Waterville relatives showed up for the mass? "The Mass will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament, 101 Silver St., and is open to the public." What a great way this would be for Ayla's father, grandmother, and/or aunt to honor Ayla! Her paternal family must be so pleased that this local Catholic church wanted to do something so special for little Ayla. What a great way to keep Ayla's name--and the fact that she is still missing--in the forefront of everybody's thoughts!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.onlinesentinel.com/news/mass-today-is-for-ayla_2013-01-16.html
Actually, Ayla's maternal family has been quite involved in honoring Ayla and keeping her name out there. The mass was in Waterville where Ayla's paternal family resides--not Portland.
DeleteI thank the Armandi family for focussing community attention on Ayla in their lives and prayers. While I don't know who attended (the DiPietro family is not Catholic), I am sure both the maternal and paternal family were there in their prayers.
DeleteGlenda, thank you.

The last time Justin attended a "prayer" event the attendees ALL hugged him shook hands with him, said we are here for you if you need anything. Than many walked straight out the door to reporters and called him a murderer.
DeleteI was saddened and angry for him by this display at such an event. I watched as he however continued to be respectful, kind, and speak to everyone there.
If I were him I would continue to "honor" my daughter in my own way.
Trista & the maternal family have stated they believe Ayla is dead. Her "supporters" have stated the same. Although their events do indeed focus attention on Ayla I agree I believe they focus attention on "their belief" that she is dead also. And I have thought about this a lot. As a parent if my child were missing and I believed they were alive I am just not sure that is the kind of attention I would want focused on my child. And furthermore I certainly wouldn't attend the event where people were praying or "mourning" the loss of my child.
DeleteThe mass was a dedication to Ayla and for her safe return--it had nothing to do with mourning. It was open to the public; being a Catholic was not a requirement. Anyway, why doesn't Justin speak out for his daughter, Ayla? She needs both of her parents keeping her name in the public's mind.
DeleteBeing a Catholic may not have been a requirement, but many non-Catholic believers (like myself) have no desire to attend a Catholic ceremony.
DeleteWho is the shit stirrer Obscure? You for posting a heartfelt comment for Ayla and then demeaning the person, or the person who made the heartfelt comment that you percieved to be against your buddies the Dipietros and Tudelas.
DeleteAnd who is the attention whore, the person who coordinated a great Mass for Ayla, or you for again demeaning that person.
I have two questions for you, WTF is wrong with you and do you have the juevos to post this comment.
Apparently, you are. Those are not my "buddies", I don't know any of them any better than I know you. The attention whore is obvious; you kinda can't turn that around on me. I have never interacted with the media.
DeleteLastly, I posted this. My balls are as big as you think they are. Open wide!
How much attention do you garner from this blog daily?
DeleteNot much. And most of it is from you, babe.
DeleteThat's not saying much then but pleased to help if that's what ya need. My ex use to call me that, "babe". Your name is'nt Dave is it because when I read that I had the same reaction I use to get, throwing up.
DeleteSo Glenda Armandi speaking to a news reporter to promote awareness of an interest Mass for Ayla makes her an attention whore? Is this what you are saying? Are you friggin serious? She promoted awareness for a missing angel, and for that you are calling her out as an attention whore? That is one sick comment, Obscure. You are one sick person if you believe the bullshit you are spouting. This blog obviously does not care about Ayla or promoting awareness for her if your readers agree with your comment?
DeleteAnd to Michelle, you are wrong, Glenda also promoted prayers from anyone, anywhere and anytime for those that were not able to attend. It had nothing to do with the church of her choice. You could have prayed from the privacy of your own living room for that matter, like I did.
anon parade, I was replying to the idea that the DiPietro’s absence from the actual mass was a sign that they somehow don't care about Ayla.
DeleteDo your homework. I wish commenters would stay relevant and not go way off topic. That happened back in 2004!.
ReplyDeleteYou goof anon at 11:36. That situation happened in 2004! Do your homework. Stay relevant to the thread or are we supposed to do SA on this?
ReplyDeleteIt has been NINE MONTHS today since Ayla's father, Justin DiPietro, has publicly even mentioned his still missing daughter.
ReplyDeleteGood for him. I don't think he was doing his daughter any good when he did. Trista had the media part covered/flooded. And when he did the media turned the story into something more about he and Trista.
